Kautz route 2023 

Best route on the mountain imo... Was up there in 2019 in a gnarly lenticular cloud. Pulled the wind data from Muir and it peaked at 72mph at Muir, we were camped, right below the rock step and got our asses beat all night long. One of my most memorable trips.

Smart as hell to bring your tent. Good judgment as it turned out.

Sorry slow reply. Probably 60 degrees at the steepest parts. Most of the ice was around 50 degrees.

Thanks. If we didn’t have our gear with us we would have likely turned around when the weather got bad.

Gents how steep is this? What would be your best guess?
