STR is shaved, toasted, recharred. My brother bought this for me for Christmas and it's delightful. I've also had the solist bourbon cask and a Casa Fuente exclusive sherry solist....All just exquisite, so much tropical fruit. The 46abv bourbon cask is no slouch either. This has been on my list for quite a while. I can get it for $239/750ml which is a good price, but it still makes me wince. I somehow seem to gravitate toward expensive hobbies. I need to break myself of this (ha, ha). You make really solid recommendations Mark. You got me started on Longrow Red Pinot Noir and, based solely on your review of the Glenfarclas 25 I grabbed one but I haven't opened it yet. I think when we go into lock down I'm pulling the cork. Very interesting review. Thanks Mark!

@@WhiskyWhistle It's bold. Somewhat spirit driven but somehow richly oaked at the same time. Reminds me of a Garrison Cowboy but not as dark with brown sugar/molasses. More on the butterscotch end.

Just so you know, we the viewers like watching the reviewer swoosh the whisky in the mouth, you dont have to edit that just because terrible reviewers like jasonwhiksywise do since they want to minimize being "annoying".. but unlike him, you're not annoying, you're quite pleasant, so dont worry about editing mouth sounds. Yep.
