@@Meiama as a person who doesn't ship (I'm here just cuz I like to revisit random genshin scenes that I skipped in the game because quests are too long xd), I think worrying about pixels too much that you have to enter a video just to defend the relationship status of those pixels like they were real is more concerning and creepy than shipping them...I mean, where's the harm in shipping two characters if they are not real? why getting mad about it? I can assure you Mihoyo does the "ship interactions" thing intentionally so they can make money from it, so it will not stop anytime soon. I can express how much i like alhaitham even more after this quest. Tho it hurts he is not courteous and didn't ask us for dinner :/ but againt thats who he is.

I thought I'm the only one who notice Alhaitham teasing Kaveh alot. He's usually so rational and collected, but whenever Kaveh enters his vicinity the sass just comes out of nowhere lmao. Following your thought on Alhaitham avoiding people he dislikes, then if he truly dislikes Kaveh, he has long kicked the poor guy out of his place. Keeping Kaveh around his private space just means the two are close; considering that there's no apparent benefit for Alhaitham.

Most people don’t realize the tight friendship between Alhaitham and Kaveh because of how weird the English localizations and voice acting are. In other languages they are not even nearly as harsh to each other and sound more like they’re 2 people who understand each other so well that they can afford friendly bantering and picking at each other. Alhaitham doesn’t like to bother himself with people he hates. If he truly hates Kaveh, he never would’ve let him passed the door let alone live in his house. In short, even if there’s no romance involved, the shippers are more spot on than the EN localization team
@@final7423 Chinese can be pretty hard to translate to English, unfortunately. I guess they just really miss the mark, especially knowing we have mischaracterized units like Xiao in the EN dub/translation. Probably their worst offender out there
I would really love to know their dialogs in other languages :( no hate to the english dub but the fact that characters can be so different depending on the language they speak is wild to me

But isn’t an actual Chinese person all they need on the team to get even remotely close? English localisation genuinely just feels like google translated text that a bunch of drunk guys then had to make sense of. The initial version has a bunch of cultural aspect to the characters and tropes that just don’t exist in the west and you cannot just have a bunch of American translators, writers and Voice actors magically work out the subtleties or f*ck around with it like with Xiao, Childe or Alhaitham and Kaveh.

Didn't alhaitham also say "we should have dinner now"(something along those lines) then literally kicked the TRAVELER out.. traveler the main character... Also at the end of the domain in his quest paimon kept insinuating on asking questions and he was like "no I'm busy things to do, see ya" we can clearly see he had absolutely nothing to do but have dinner with kaveh This could be mihoyo trying real hard to imply it without having to say it out right or my writer brain jumping to conclusions idfk but I like them together

People who call this ship toxic need to recognise the difference between teasing, banter and actual hatred. Like compare this ship to shipping like Maki Harukawa and Kokichi Ouma from daganronpa. I bet a lot of the people calling the ship toxic are actually homophobic, but try to make it sound like there's a problem with the characters themselves rather than saying what their problem really is. As a RWBY fan, people always call Blake and Yang (two canonical lesbian lovers) toxic even though they have been nothing but kind and loving human beings. P.s: In Alhaitham's good night dialogue, he said when Kaveh was making models for his project, he had to wear headphones because it was too noisy. As someone who has an artist relative, making models isn't so loud that you have to wear headphones unless you're in the same room as that person. Just go to another room and close the door is enough to stop the sound

@@banji7612 because of its AlHaitham's house and judging from his personality he probably doesn't have a bedroom for guests because he doesn't invite people to his house, so there's only one bedroom and they have to share it, they probably sleep on opposite sides of the room, and they are roommates kevh's augment about cleaning the house mirrors a an arguments i had with my roommate in college, we agreed to disagree on alot of things and we were roosting each other alot, we were are very deffrent people and we kept living together is because both of us were broke and we didn't have any other choice, simler to how kevah is broke and he either chose between staying in AlHaitham's house or sleep in the street

I don't know if they're into each other romantically, but I can't help but think that this is similar to what Diluc and Kaeya would be like if they were roommates. @@CosmicBlitz001 Yeah I'm looking for more meaningful het ship interactions on the same level as Alhaitham/Kaveh and Cyno/Tighnari, but there's absolutely zero in Sumeru. Even this year's lantern rite had more equality with their interactions than Sumeru.
I am all for the pairing obviously, but that one quote about "staying at home and avoiding everything" is likely not about Kaveh wanting Alhaitham at home and more about the fact that as far as I remember Alhaitham wants easy uninterrupted life so Kaveh was digging into that trait of his here that "if he knew there would be problems he would just stay at home to avoid getting involved".
