It is really awesome. Not sure if I'd want it or a Juno. It also has a chorus effect on it, which I didn't use on this track - but I have a subsequent one that I did use it on. Really pretty great. A pain to take apart though!
Oh yeah - hah, I forgot I wrote that! I was too busy being frustrated knowing I'd have to rip the damn thing open and fix it. Funny, it might as well have been written by someone else since I was so preoccupied! And yeah, this thing sounds really good. And it's a beautiful looking instrument. To be honest, had I known how much the things were worth, I'm not sure I'd have wanted to work on it for my friend!
Yeah, definitely. I just wrote something using my JX3P wondering if it could get to similar territory… and it was ok, but not really the same, obviously. May r the prophet 10 is the closest thing I have to getting there… but it’s still pretty different all things considered.
@@phanuel_1986 At least - to kill our lust just a little bit - I felt like the build of these things was a little janky and half of the reason it 'looks so good' here is because of the lighting. It really brought out the colors. Sigh... who am I kidding...
@@Michael_Smith-Red_No.5 I absolutely hated the AX80, but I understand if others like it :) Mine also suffered from key switches not working 100%. Every time I tried to fix it, I made other notes not work, lol, it was frustrating. But ultimately I didn't love the sound.
