I guess I'm your mother's age, because I think the same way - a sports motorcycle should look "cheerful", exude energy, light up the depressing reality, and not be like a hearse or a vehicle for a stiff in a suit. I'll be honest, until I got a tear in my eye from nostalgia for those wonderful times, the years 1985-2000, when beautiful multicolored ZX-R/Ninjas, CBRs or GSX-Rs reigned on the roads. The world was completely different, people were more cheerful, more open.

Cheers Barry, had a first gen ZX-6R back in the day with the same design as #8 in blue, it's one of those designs that transfers well on a lot of bikes

I think / hope they're slowly catching on, they all had such a richness to them in the 80s/90s, it's like they've lost their way over the last decade playing it safe. Of all the manufacturers tho I think Kawasaki are leading the charge with their heritage editions

Yes I agree, it is due an update to stay competitive, the Fireblade has just had one so hopefully next year we will see a refreshed ZX-10RR to take on the Panigale V4R, R1 M1000RR 😎

really?? look arround on most dyno flash ecu zx10r is the most powerful bike at the rear wheel. most track guy are using them as the r1 they still the best tool for money to go fast with. wsbk bikes is for none of us its mostly commercial

If that was the case just as a street bike, the BMW is faster the Honda CBRRR is faster the Aprilia RSV is a faster bike and as you know the Ducati is faster just ask the 🐐 Rea who left Kawasaki the motor has reached the end of its development.I didn’t even mention the R1M which seems the only bike on the track that is able to challenge the Ducati. Also the only race the ZX10RR has won was Rae . On the world stage BSB,ASBK,AMA, CSBk and Dean Harrison TT is one great rider has not been able to win a TT since 2019 . Don’t get me wrong I love Kawasaki all my bikes have been Kawasaki and I own a ZX10R . If they won’t to be on top again they need to upgrade the motor KRT is talking about increase in RPM that’s going to help them out of corner’s the R1M is stronger off the corners and it faster on top end. You the Ducati overall motor better .hopefully they upgrade that motor which have basically been the same sense 2019

@@jeffreyenglish2413 it is the case 100%, sorry you are getting influenced by the commercial aspect of wsbk,like most lamba rider but only few bikes in the world in the top 10 on their field are build that way , i owned and raced s1000rr zx10 and r1for AFM on west coast and the yam is the less powerful by a bit but has other advantage ducati is a nighmare to set up and aprilia is a 1100cc . Dean harrison is fast as hell but Hickman prove to be a bit faste in the mountain as he is on bsb too, and no zx didnt win only wsbk but has been the most successful bike on national championship for the last 10 years. not saying it could not used a update as the gsxr and the r1 need too but power isnt an issue specially for 99.9% of slow rider as i am part of

Ah thanks... but to be fair, like all the major manufacturers, Kawasaki have a huge back catalogue of cool paintjobs, and this was a project that involved transferring someing classic onto something modern, something I've been doing digitally for years. I agree though, they should all offer multiple colourschemes that are more daring, like they were in the 80s and 90s.
