I cannot stress how great a video like this is. It's so hard to just get basic information on an vehicle and I've learned so much and I know better on what's parts to buy. Thank you so much and please keep these videos going!
Father in law bought a new to him 300 Bayou. It runs great. Good power. No gear slipping. Just starts rattling when it's about time to shift. Especially loud in lower gears. Doesnt seem to do it in neutral
I’m completely new to quads but the mrs brought one for her stable yard, their is no power at after I replaced the battery with a new one. This video will help me a lot getting to know about all the different parts and trying to fix the issue. Thanks man
I always like to watch these videos before I start working on these bikes. I find that and the diagrams on partzilla helpful. Thanks for making this video. I got a barn find that hasn't run in a few years so I hope to start looking it over today. These things are selling like hot cakes right now, so if you got one sitting around turn it into cash!
What does the crankcase breather tube connect to? The service manuals don't show how it connects. All I see is a rubber hose that goes down into the same location as the pickup coil wires, which is between the flywheel case and the gear case cover.
sounds like ya know your stuff!! Question. . . when I put my 300 Bayou in gear...it DOESN'T move! Feels like rear end is locked up!!! (a little help; please). Thanks
So as fate will have it some times, a buddy of mine in very small town we live in came to me with a second 98 KLF300, I picked it up for $400 primarily cuz it has brand new tires. It was an added bonus that after cleaning it up and throwing a charged battery in her and verifying some electrical connections concerns it fired right up but its smoking I just got the plastic off front and tank removed and noticed the Crank case vent tube at the tee was disconnected Im wondering if this would cause an oil issue/smoking issue. Carb was full of oil as was the exhaust but it started immediately. I have not confirmed compression yet but im assuming its good. This is my second KLF300C.
I have a 91 Lakoda klf 300 that starts but will not rev up. When throttle is applied the engine continues to run but sputters and eventually floods out. I have installed a new carg, checked the timing multiple times and set valve clearance. I'm stumped. Any suggestions Thanks in advance. Love your videos. Keep them coming.
Glad it helped!! Thanks for watching and the comment. Have you watched some of our other videos on this same model? Also if you have need parts check out: www.ebay.com/str/midnebraskamotorsports
I have a 2001 bayou 300 4x4 and my engine is getting really hot when riding not glowing red but really hot where it’s takes along time to cool off any ideas
Drive faster! jk. These are air cooled so there is nothing you can do without adding fans or getting more air flow. Make sure your filter is clean and engine area is free from dirt build up. Let me know what you find. Thanks for watching and the comment. Let us know if you need anything: www.ebay.com/str/midnebraskamotorsports
Hey man. I've watched, almost, the entire Bayou breakdown. I have a question though... My bayou is supposedly an 06 (has a sticker on the front of the frame that says it is -- just bought it.) The issue that I am having is that this little quad has been around the block, came back, and was sent again. Anything unnecessary has been clipped, and what is left is rigged and taped together. I was trying to see if the electric start would work, but it has no battery. I used jumper cables to hook my lawnmower up to the cut battery wires, and .. nothing. No click, no sign that power was flowing to anywhere it needed to. Any advice? I've not got a multimeter otherwise I would have started with that. I was actually wondering if you would make a short video giving a run down of where the wiring is supposed to go, and while you're doing that, giving a run down of the fuel lines/vent lines. I believe if you added that video, you'd of covered the entirety of the Bayou and would be a great source for anyone that was looking at doing any kind of work on one. Thanks ahead of time.
I have one of these, and it runs, but when you stop and it idles, it will heat up and shut off and i will have to wait for it to cool to restart what is a fix for this issue? Any help would be great thanks
I have this same year 2 wheel drive. It used to run but sat for a few years but I’ve got it all tore down and I have good compression the push button start, kill switch, and light have been removed. I can’t figure out what wires went to the kill switch or if that’s even the reason it will turn over but not start? I’m really stumped any ideas will be tried thanks guys 😊
Hello, this is a great video and very helpful. I have got a question - I have got a 1994, Bayou, KLF 300C (4x4). I messed up with the two clutch adjust screws. I have tried very hard to find information or video on how to adjust those two screws. I have tried some of the tips on the google, but didn't seem to work perfectly. I was able to adjust partially working, but not the way should be. Most of the tips on the internet are for one adjust screws. Can you give me some advice as to how to adjust those two adjust screws under the clutch release cover. thanks in advance. Jon
I have a question but I do not know what the part is called but I could explain it it's just past the front tires and it connects to the front shaft it is a 4x4 kawasaki
Lift it up and out of that rubber boot (band). You can leave the rubber attached to the frame. Thanks for watching. Let us know if there is anything else you need! www.midnebraskamotorsports.com/

@@MidNebraskaMotorsports thanks so much for the clarification, does your carb rebuild video show how the gas lines and vacuum lines should be attached? The atv I'm trying to fix just turns over and if I pour gas into the carb via the line that was coming from the petcock valve / tank and try to start it, it sputters and occasionally backfires but mostly it just turns over and turns over.. I got it to start ONCE I don't know how or why bc it hasn't started since. Timing appears to be correct ... However I tried adjusting the valves using feeler gauges etc, prior to it starting the one time.. if I didn't adjust them exactly right would that be in line with what it's doing? It has good spark, compression, and power? Any ideas? Ty so much I'm really lost as to how I can get this thing working
Hey man, I cant find the video where you remove the front right drive axle. If you dont have one, how do you remove it? Mine is stuck and we've tried everything to getting it out and theres no guides for specifically this model. At least that I can find. Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated

I have 2 blue wires and 1 brown with double connector under the dash. Do they plug into each other or just hang freely? Any help is greatly appreciated
Man i need some input. So i have the 94 300 4x4 and I am not getting any dash lights to come on. I haven't replaced the battery just working off jumper cables. The fuse was taken out and straight wired in. Burnt prong on rectifier. I'm not trying to spend a bunch of money to find out it isn't worth fixing. If you could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
I'd buy an ignition switch for $12 off our ebay store. Check it out. Thanks for watching. Let us know if there is anything else you need! www.midnebraskamotorsports.com/
