Picked up a used one and I'll be damned if I can see oil through that sight glass. Not convinced it's "low" necessarily, just really dark like looking into a tunnel. So I'm very curious about "the two lines" for oil level ... are they on the sight glass, or the engine casing? Or, I suppose I could just change the oil and filter and put what was it, "just over" 2QTs back in? [Edit] I just watched your other oil change video, substantially similar to this one but for a split second it reveals the two horizontal marks on either side of the sight glass, at around 9:00 and 3:00 (or maybe lower, at 8:00 and 4:00 positions?). And I see that with a new filter, it takes about 2 1/8 quarts of oil.
The oil level marks are on the case. I've seen some that the oil would have to be changed twice to remove the build-up from lack of oil changes. May want to try 1.75 q then run it a bit to see if you can distinguish the oil level. Thanks for reaching out.
Have to ask something that might seem stupid but I’m new to this atv thing. After changing the oil and u can see it in between the two lines.... after being ran and then u can’t see any.... is this normal?
Yes, you'll be fine with this oil. Just make sure whatever you choose is "Wet Clutch Compatible" (Motorcycle/ATV Oil). Not using this type will scrap the internal wet clutch. A kit similar to this will work amzn.to/2MEPAaM
@@atvdirt1you said about using Lucas, I don't think the oil stabilizer is wet clutch safe. Been told for years not to use it on motorcycles and dirt bikes.
