After a long hiatus, I'm back. This time with a new motorcycle and a new setup for recording videos while riding. There will be more information on the bike in the coming weeks and better produced riding videos.
Mostly this is a test of my camera and microphone setups. I apologize for the poor quality.
I know this is somewhat different from my regular videos but hopefully some of you will find it interesting.
Thanks for watching!

Well, look who's back! And on a motorbike, no less! That brings back memories... I'd say that a big mono is the right choice to do some adventure riding - asphalt, gravel roads, some very light off-road, that kind of things. And never mind motorcycle journalists: most of them are full of crap, you can predict what they are going to write just by reading the bike's spec sheet.

Thanks, Luca! Good to be back. This video was as much a test of my video making capabilities as anything. I think I need a much more modern camera, with image stabilisation. And, while my microphone is a good one, I’ve got to place it differently inside my helmet. Thanks as always for the feedback!

Great review. I've had my KLR the Adventure model since January and I couldn't be more pleased. I added quite of few modifications to enhance overall comfort. I live on Oahu so I use the KLR for commuting pretty much exclusively since there really isn't much in the way of dirt road options. Hard to believe I know. I love it. I get on average 55 mpg and can't think of a better bike to get around. Happy to share what I've done if your interested. Aloha.

Thank you! Sure, I’d love to know what you’ve done. I’ve already ordered the Thermo Bob. Bill, from Watt-Man sent me a personalised email to tell me it should be shipping today. Other than that, I haven’t done anything to the bike yet. Thanks, Greg

BTW, I spent quite a bit of time on Oahu in the late eighties and early nineties, in and around Pearl. I was stationed on the Missouri. Some of my first on-road, two-wheel motoring experiences were renting motor scooters and riding all over the island. Those were good times.

@@SuburbanPathfinder Cool, I added a windscreen riser from Cody Stevens may of us discovered in the FB group may Gen3 KLR owners exchange ideas. Along with that I added a aftermarket smoke windscreen that gives 3-4 inches of rise that puts air well over my head. I also added Happy Trails skid plate and Bark busters for the 22 model. Grip puppies for the grips. That does a good job of minimizing freq's from the bars. I also added a Leo Vince exhaust and UNI air filter. Oh, and low profile drain plug from Eagle Mike. I have about 2700 miles and recently did my second oil change. I use Kawasaki Synthetic oil. i'm unsure if i'll do the thermo bob or Doohicky at this point.

You remind me of myself dealing with the idiots on the road who think they are the only people on the roadway . 😂 I have a 2023 KLR & a 2022 Roadglide so I don’t care about vibrations lol . I’m not doing anything about the Do Hickey or Thermo Bob . I’m just gonna service it when it needs it & see how many miles I get outta it. If I get 50K out of it I’ll be good 👍

Sounds like a plan. I did end up doing the Thermo Bob but I’m not worried about the doohickey for the time being. So far, so good.

Nice motovlog! Image was smooth enough for me, and IMO, image stabilization is overrated. I much prefer real movement over bad image stabilization. Audio was fine, though I suspect you have plans to improve it :)

I think mostly it’s a matter of microphone placement in the helmet. I’m working on it.
