I can tell you they do pop out of gear. Mine did it on day one, took it to the dealer, replaced parts and readjusted the cable, and did it on the next ride. Going down a consistent hill in high range, it kicks out of gear and starts a clicking noise until you come to a complete stop.
Mine did it on my first ride around the block. It went back to dealer they kept it 5 weeks got it back, did it first ride around the block. We adjusted the cable and put a detent spring in it too both mine and my neighbors "his is doing it also" still doing it. Kawasaki has known about this problem since early 2020. They say they are working on a fix but how long does it take. Only does it in high gear mostly at low speeds going down any grade of hill. There are a lot of people having this problem. I saw a video where a mechanic was showing that main gear shaft and there was a lot of side movement on the high gear due to the end bearing not being pressed all the way on. That could allow that dog not to fully engage correct? If you could happen to find a fix for this you would make a lot of people very happy.
Mine did it 5x until I adjusted the shift cable so the lever at the tranny was all the way back and also insuring the shift lever in the cab, FLOATED in High gear with NO tension on the shift lever. It should feel the same in all gears and fully go into gear. Mine was misadjusted from the factory. First time at about 40 mph on a flat road let off the gas and a loud grinding noise. Then a few times after on a decline but has to be smooth. From full engine brake to free spooling in an instant. Super dangerous!
JB has a longer detent spring they sell to help address the issue as well. It states on their website. Solves the KRX popping out of gear issue! Lots of people have had this issue
Great video not sure if mine is popping out of gear but when going down hill it like it disengages makes a clicking sound till I stop the it seems to be fine any thoughts
Mine has done it 3 times in almost 600 miles and the last one was with the primary spring removed. Removing the primary spring lowers cruising rpm a bit
@@da7062 I pulled one out today and tried it. But, back to it popping out of gear, I think you hit the nail on the head. Adjust that cable so it's all the way back.
Brought my KRX 2022 in March rode it three times… Day one popped out of gear. Day 2 popped out of gear 3x’s Day 3 popped out of gear 5 x’s Called Kawasaki factory and they know about it… But have know parts… it’s now the end of May and I’ve rode it all of 3x’s. Payed over $25,000 for 3 rides and getting ready to make my 4th payment 😏 So you sell me a KRX that you KNOW pop’s out of gear and it’s ok🤬.
@@BackboneADV I know you didn’t sell my SxS and it’s about Transmission. The high gear is not aligned properly . Kaw. Knows about this issue but keeps selling them. It’s so bad they can’t keep parts in stock. The problem is in the Manufacturing process (on the assembly line) That’s why some of the KRX’s don’t have this problem. Have a great day.
