Kawasaki Versys 650 : Review : PowerDrift 

Hell, i just came here to watch some silly review and to hear some exhaust sound, tha HELL i did freakin watch a bloody hollywood MoviE man! You guys are just Nuts! I throw the money to the screen that i spare for buy a bike, hope you get it! Damn.

Holy mother of god Powerdrift. This was such an amazingly produced video. My mouth was left open at some sequences. The biggest problem with you guys is that you make me feel like buying every bike you review. You will be the sole cause of me going bankrupt. I was waiting for the review of the Versys and jesus you guys don't leave any room for even consideration. This review made me rethink my own life let alone rethink my bike purchase. Love your work.

Man I love your review. I live in Florida, USA, and bought my Versys 650LT last September. I traded in a Harley Davidson that I had for 8 years and 28,000 miles. The Versys is easier to ride and more comfortable. I am 69 years old and have been riding since 1966. I don't ride as aggressive as you though. Your video production is excellent. The timing, music and cuts are right on. Thanks for the review.

4 yrs of watching this video, 4 yrs and 54000 kms of amazing time on this bike later, I still get goosebumps watching this video. No other video comes close to the magic this video creates! 🤩

I need to visit india. I feel like the motorcycle community is beautiful there. Here in the US it is so toxic. If you don't ride a Harley, you don't ride a real bike. If you don't ride a supersport you are slow. If you ride a cheap dual sport like mine, the big euro adventure bike fans look down on you. If you own a harley you break down a lot. No one wins, everything is negative.

Saw this review 5 years back.Still search and watch it till end before every ride.This is more than a review,this is pure emotion.

First of all take a bow..I simply want to come down there at your studios, hug each and every one of you and say thank you, thank you for bringing such a beyond divinity stuff..no, I am not overreacting, being passionate about bikes, photography, videography, story-telling and similar sorts, here onward this is going to be my benchmark.. Here are some points, gonna be a long comment though.. 1. First 40 seconds, goosebumps, those visuals, that voice and that narration..just touched the core.. 2. The way camera moves from 0:42 to 0:50, it's amazing. 3. At 1:47, you just nailed it.. 4. I have been to almost all the known places that you had shown here and trust me traveling to all those places, along with the crew and bike, for a mere 10 mins of video clip, guys it needs a lot of dedication and hard work, and that is simply nonpareil.. 5. 2:42 who ever thought to shoot that silhouette, accept this high five.. 6. At 5:10, if it's not you, who else can think about taking that amazing shot.. 7. Thanks for showcasing the coastal roads, the best thing about them is they are serene at sunset.. 8. Time lapse from 6:46 is absofreakinglutely mesmerizing.. 9. If I am not wrong, that's the Harnai beach and lighthouse at 6:50 right? one heck of an amazing place to witness the sunset.. 10. Towards the end, each and every shot is like, a perfection.. 11. And Aerosmith, for life :). So, I will end my little(?) note here, by saying thank you once again, I am not sure whether any one at Kawasaki would ever think of making such a class apart video..you guys are beyond comparison and yeah, watching it for the 5th time now \m/..!!

By far my favorite PowerDrift video! I had the original Versys back in 2k8 as soon as it was available in the U.S. Easily the funnest bike I had owned, then I totaled it in a near fatal accident. I began riding again on a CRF250L, and switched to a Triumph Street Triple last summer. This summer I wan’t something a little more all day comfortable, and this is on the possibilities list! As you hear so often, it’s not the greatest at any one thing, it’s not that fast or sexy, but it does everything so well. Great vid! Indeed, like a movie.

you guys make better videos than ads that these bike manufacturer make.

I bought the 2015 Versys 650 LT (with brush guards and saddle cases) a few months ago and have been very happy with it. I would like to note that Hepco & Becker makes very nice crash bars (engine guard) and a skid plate for this bike; the only down side to the crash bars is that they have to be removed in order to remove the side fairings to check the coolant etc. Thus far I have added the H&B crash bars, OEM top case (rebranded GIVI V45), Denali soundbomb horn, and 12V outlet (note: BikeMaster outlet costs 1/5 as much as the OEM). I am considering the skid plate and upgrading the tires to more offroad capable options. Conclusion: The shortcomings mentioned in this video (in terms of dirt riding) can easily be overcome with affordable aftermarket components.

For everyone who is confused which bike to buy, please read below:- I initially wanted Versys 650 (has a 2 cylinder parallel twin engine), but then also liked Z800 (has a inline 4 cylinder engine) and then i liked Tiger 800Xcx (has a 3 cylinder engine.). Tiger 800Xcx or 800Xrx is too expensive as the import costs and duties almost double the price of the motorcycle. The exhaust note on Tiger 800 is good when you rev it. Booked Z800 , but then changed it again to Versys 650 as it handles exceptionally well in Indian traffic conditions, has very good rider and pillion comfort, has grab rails while the Z800 dosen't, has cruiser style seating and swing arm position, is superb on the highways, even better than the Tiger 800 Xcx. Its a motorcycle that you can live with everyday and travel around comfortably on long trips. Go for Versys 650. 3 or 4 cylinder engines heats up a lot in Indian traffic conditions while the Versys almost has no heating issues. The seating position on Z800 is not at all comfortable for long rides. Z800 has better exhaust sound, but you can put a slip on exhaust on the Versysy 650 to make it sound better (Stock exhaust is ok, not that bad). I have test ridden Versysy 650, Z800, Trimuph Street Triple, Tiger 800Xcx and my final verdict is Versysy 650. PowerDrift: Awesome video guys :).

Forget about bikes, this has to be hands down the best review of anything that has an engine! I lost count of how many times I have watched it, and every damn time with a wide grin and lastly with an urge to sell the four wheeler just to book a Versys.. Kawa should pay you guys some royalty for every Versys they sell!!

A beautiful video review! :) I was one of the lucky ones: I grew up in Alaska and started riding motorcycles before my 5th birthday, and didn't learn how to ride a bicycle until I was almost 8-years old. Next year will be my 50th year of riding motorcycles. And my next bike is a Versys 650. :)
