Yes I have a 2009. The bike really hasnt changed in 14 years except for the paint jobs. Its been a fantastic bike. The only major mechanical let down was the stater ( charger) which went up at about 30 K miles. Other then that just basic maintenance, oil, filters, tires, clutch cable etc. This is a perfect cruiser. If you want to travel cross country I would get a bigger bike but for staying local its perfect.Great ride and good looking.
I just picked up a brand new 2022 Vulcan 900 custom this weekend. Cant wait to get out there and ride. Need a little better weather in S.E. Wisconsin. Stay safe out there!
Your gear changes leave a lot to be desired. Try some gentle pressure on the gear lever before you change up, then let it wind out a little in each gear don't just rush through the gearbox till you're in top. Ride safe.
Sorry to read some of those comments about clumsy gear changes. I’ve a 2023 although I rode a 2012 Classic for six years. I still miss gears. I hope I’ll get better before I ruin my clutch. Do you think a clutch cable tightening would help? Great video. No talking, just the sound of that glorious exhaust note and some wind noise.
It might help, in this video the bike way brand new to me and was still trying to figure out the gears compared to my old bike. I will be Motovloging coming up so stay tuned for that.
I just picked up a 2021 900 Custom brand new (dealer lost it during a move and re-found it, long story, but I got a great deal). It's my first bike, really looking forward to getting to ride it, but I have another month and a half before my MSF course to get my endorsement. Do you have any mods planned? I already added crash bars as I'm very new and don't want to scuff it too bad if/when I drop it.
Congratulations on the bike they are a lot of fun. I’m thinking of getting a different seat/ passenger seat, saddle bags possibility. Not sure what else yet
i would encourage anyone to attend a msc . but to get an " endorsement " is asking some shithead whom has zero equitable interest in your private business , for " permisson" to use your item known by the US Supreme court as a "durable good". look up right to travel. this m c endorsement is BULL SHIT.STATE over reach. and as long as you go along with it, they get aeay with it. I've riden since i was 7,
lost me at the very first STOP sign. I have been riding bikes for 30 years and guys like you, who disobey simple road laws, are why police hate us. Bikers who disobey simple laws are idiots and selfish because it effects ALL of us on the road.
