Wonderful machine. This is the only slipon for the Z900 that sounds great. All the rest sound pretty much the same as stock. I have a '22 Z and am going to order one like yours. Cool that they're made in the UK. Any problems since you installed? Did you have an ECU reflash? Thanks for the video.
Hi mate thanks for the comment 👍 Yes I'm still enjoying the sound, and the exhaust looks great. My wife has a 2019 z900 with and Akrapovic slip on and it's no louder than stock but I think that's down to hers being euro 4. I haven't had any problems whatsoever since I installed it and there wasn't any need for an ECU flash as all I changed was the end can .
I have just purchased one.did you use any high temperature silicone for the joins when you assembled end can to link pipe.?they say to smear some round the joins!!!!
Hi. I don't seem to have much of a problem with it although I have had to polish that part up once where my boot has been on it but I have done a lot of miles now with this on so I wouldn't say it was too much of a problem 🙂
@@2wheelbikers311 no I I didn’t used any. In the instructions - they advised to use clear silicone i believe. Will try it trow and update u. Meanwhile which sealant u recommend to arrest this leak
Hi, yes, the fitting instructions say to use clear silicone and that's all it says, but I would recommend a heat resistant silicone such as this one; pipewerx.co.uk/webshop/exhaust-accessories/wurth-clear-silicone-exhaust-sealant/
Do you know if this slip on will fit a 2023 Z900 (US model)? I can't tell if anything has changed from prior years. I don't want to fool with a full exhaust system, but just a slip on because the OEM is really fugly and huge. I like the way this one looks and sounds. Thanks.

@Richie Rich That's good. My wife has a 2019 z900 and mine is a 2020 model and they are a completely different fitting, hers is euro4 and mine is euro5. I suppose you don't have any of those restrictions in the US. 🏍🏍
Not sure mate, I have the 2020 and Tracey has the 2019 model and they are different end cans, my end can fits inside the pipe on the silencer box and Traceys goes over it. I can't give you any measurements as I don't know off hand sorry, I would just order the correct year end can as they are different fittings
Hi, I've checked the website, and the Serket Taper one requires removing a factory emissions control device so there could be some cutting involved (this is on the 2020 onwards model which is euro5 spec). The red power slip on is just a straight swap for the standard can that is on the bike. Hardly any difference in horsepower gains between the two. So it just depends on which one you like the look of and which is easier to fit. If you get the Red Power one you can easily put the original exhaust back on when you sell the bike and sell the scorpion end can. I preferred the look of the Red Power one. Hope this helps. I don't care if it's louder, 2 mins later Oh you beauty ha ha. After watching your video I went & ordered one. A quick question, is there no clamp on the top of the connecting pipe ?
@@2wheelbikers311 What I meant was. There's no clamp on the link pipe to the silencer, it just slides together. Mine arrived yesterday but it's been too wet to fit it. In the instructions it doesn't tell you to add silicone to the said joint, Does it not leak ?
@LeeThomas-1 no clamp on the back of the link pipe to end can and I didn't use silicone on this part but the front of the link pipe that will slip into the original part of the exhaust will use the same clamp that held the original end can, this bit will leak so may need some sealant. Hope this helps.
Hi Darren, I did post a detailed reply while I was in the garage but it seems to have disappeared (thanks youtube). I know if you follow how it says in the instructions it doesn't seem right but that bracket that bolts to the heatshield rests on the other bracket that is welded on the exhaust box to stop it falling down. If I could send photos I would. Let me know how you get on. Cheers.
@@2wheelbikers311 sorted now cheers, couldn’t get my head around the bracket at first the instructions I was provided with didn’t explain how to fit the heat shield just how to assemble the parts of the exhaust
Thank you 2wheelbikers311😊👍 I have put a deposit down and am test riding one tomorrow. I’m 5ft 2.5 so am hoping the stretch forward won’t be too much for me, and I know it can be lowered. If I buy it I will be purchasing the scorpion slip on thanks to your video👍😊.
Original exhaust looked absolute shite in my opinion but sounded quite good compared to the standard can on the 2019 (euro 4). The Scorpion can was slightly louder (didn't want a loud exhaust) but improved the look of the bike massively in my opinion so was worth it for me👍
