The audio quality of clicking up and down gears from three different exhaust systems was amazing. If possible, would like to see more bikes featured like this as it’s some of the best exhaust comparison content out.

@@TSTindustries A decibel meter would be nice just so we can see a real comparison of the different exhaust loudness. You can get two meters, one for each camera, for around $40 total and it really would add some nice info for the videos with no real effort beyond turning the DB meter on.

Graves block off plates & Version 2 velocity stacks would be nice addition to the graves exhaust. I have that entire setup on my 23" ZX6R and its sick!
@@ryanwarkentin4706 Not at all. Not because it's too much bike or anything, but it's too expensive for your first bike. Get something you won't mind dropping. I'd actually recommend an older ninja 400 over this for a first bike.
@@ryanwarkentin4706it’s my first bike, yeah it’s more expensive then and regular ninja 400. But it has two more cylinders and sounds incredible. You get the perks of sounding like a true super sport without the actual speed. And when you’re ready you could always tune with a full exhaust and start get even more fun out of it.
Thanx alot for the informative video,such a good comparison between exhausts,the weight on the Graves is just ridiculous!! And the pricing too!!,all of them sound really nice tbh, but if I had this bike I wouldn't put the full system maybe just a slip on, the prices with gains aren't justifiable enough!!I'd put the money on the tune or getting other parts
you could say that about pretty much every exhaust. Put any 2 bikes side by side and the exhaust weight & power gain would be negligible outside of racing, especially on these smaller CC bikes where 5-10% more power in reality is a couple horsepower. For weight, most people would gain more by putting down the fork for 2 weeks and riding on an empty stomach.
i'd go with GRAVES because they actually develop/race the kawasakis and the quality on all GRAVES products is top knotch! it's also the lightest.. i do realize it's the most expensive though
You definitely don't buy a ZX4 to go as fast as possible for the money. You get this thing to achieve sick revs and noise at more realistic speeds. For maximum speed value, a used ~10yr old literbike will always dominate.
I guarantee you the 4RR will be more fun to ride. You've heard it a million times because it's true; it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow.
Akrapovic has the best low rpm sound but in higher rpm the sound is unbearable , so the fight goes betwin Graves and M4, with Graves winning slightly in gear changes sound !!
Have you guys had a leaking issue on the stock oil cap? My wife’s ZX4RR has the oil cap hole shaved in such a way it’s not flat where the o ring sits between the metal and the cap itself.

What's the best performance air filter that you would recommend for tuning that inproves air flower and maintains filtration from your testing on the Kawasaki ZX-4RR?
We havent seen anything like that yet. If someone comes out with that it will require cutting oe parts as the catalyst can is part of the header system
Looks - Akrapovic Sound - Graves Too Loud - M4 I wish Graves went back to their shorter cans. Their older ones looked like the Akra does. That long ass old school can is lame. It sounds fantastic though.
The bike comes with a 48 from the factory. That was one of our prototypes in size 50, which is useful for one of our local tracks that is a bit twisty and tight. The 50 tooth size is not uncommon on these bikes. -BR
Would be very interesting if some decent weight savings can be found. Older in-line 4 400cc bikes are at least 10-20kg lighter with a proper aluminium twin spar frame
You flip the lever at the end of the linkage and it's in gp mode. At that point your qs/blip sensors are reversed. Our flash tune service is available with a sensor software flip configuration. You can also rewire the sensor to flip its function if you are comfortable with wiring. -BR
I believe a peak figure around 90 may be possible but that would require building up the motor quite a bit, internal friction reduction treatments, and running on race gas that provides more energy per conbustion (such as MR12)
No. That is called GP shift, and it's the reverse pattern. One up and the rest down. You have to flip the linkage lever arm, and reprogram the sensor inputs in the ECU during a flash. We can do that during flashing your ECU if you are using our flashing service, but you still have to flip your linkage.
We do not. Our tunes focus on performance and practicality. Crackle and pop is outside of the realm of performance and practicality. I will add that this bike has quite a bit of valve overlap, and I wouldnt purposely tune a bike to have small explosions going on in the exhaust tract as the bike is expecting to use exhaust gas pressure fronts for scavenging at the exhaust/intake cycles crossover
I can tell you that after we race it in Daytona later this month. For now the top speed we have is on the dyno and that does not take into account drag and rider load.
@@BARRIEAM22 that is a reverse shift pattern commonly called gp shift. Its arranged that way to eanable easy upshifts mid corner without the need to upset chassis by shifting rider weight around.

it's called countershifting, you know like counter steering? To counter shift south of the equator, motorcycles have to downshift in order to upshift, but only at higher speeds, exactly similar to counter steering.
12 yo who don't even have a clue. I would honestly rather have the zx25r, it is more novelty than this one. Has a higher rev limit, cheaper, and sounds cooler. For power they have zx6r and zx10r, idk why we need a 4 as well when it is priced so high. It has to compete with an R7 and the R7 has more torque, and they even make a turbo kit for an r7 if you want more power.
It’s funny when people are trying to get more power out of this bike. The whole point is a less powerful inline 4. That’s literally the whole point. A slow bike that turns 16k rpms and sounds great. I like the bike a lot but who cares about power on a bike like this.
Haven't you seen people buyinng a 3500 dollar Grom and then dumping in 6000 dollars into it to make it a high performance mini? It's inevitable. I can tell you for sure that your view is in the minority.

Yeah this bike is epically disappointing, too heavy, too slow, and too expensive, even after the computer reflash and getting the 75 HP the bike just doesn't perform, I know it's only 400 cc but with a proper power to weight ratio that's more than enough power to make a quick bike, I feel like this bike is close but not quite there when it comes to small 4 cylinder engine.
