Love these videos brother! I’m from South Carolina & you’ve inspired me to get a couple of boats & get on these rivers over the past couple months. The information is invaluable.
What a landscape to have around! I just did my first trips with the Yukon I bought a few weeks ago. Went out on the baltic sea in the far north of Germany and three rivers already. Great boat, good recommendation! And I even got my hands on a yellow one (it was actually the only one in good shape I could find). 😊
Love your videos man! We recently made eastern NC home and your content inspired me to pull the trigger on my first kayak this summer. How do I go about getting my hands on a River Kings sticker to slap on my new boat? Thanks - Jory
Right on Jory! Welcome aboard and welcome to NC! For stickers, either mail a stamped, self addressed envelope with $1 per sticker desired to River Kings PO Box 222 Saxapahaw, NC 27340 or Venmo $1 per sticker desired to @RiverKingPete (0995 last four of cell) and be sure to leave a note with your address.
Nice overnight! This might be a dumb question, but how do you keep your Go Pro 10 from overheating when it's behind you? Do you let it run for a few minutes or when you think you might chance across 'good footage'? My GP10 constantly overheats and shuts off at the worst times. I end up missing some random wildlife encounters because of it. Also, if it's not too much trouble, do you use the go pro app on the phone to turn it on and off? I'm at the point where I want to go with a different camera.
Thanks Ed! I turn them on whenever I see something good. Sometimes they stay on for 15 or 20 min. I never use any wireless connections as that saps the battery. I can reach the tail boom cam with my hands.
Thank you! I've been trying to figure out a good setup to capture everything and I've settled on a mix of midship mounts. I like having a mount further back, but I can't really reach it. I tried to just let it run, but the overheating issue has me stumped. Been trying to figure out a good solution.
