I am a big fan of Kaza; she speaks to me as a spellslinger but she is discrete enough to not get you hated off of the board like a commander such as Mizzix or Melek would otherwise. I am planning on building her in a less Tribal-matters build... while I am obviously going to run Wizards to help support her, I think looking at Kaza as a Mana Rock that can fairly consistently give you 1-3 mana is a much more prudent way of player her. Cards with Buyback, Overload, and Kicker are especially fun with Kaza since you can reduce that alternate cost. This deck is aiming to be mostly 3-4 mana interaction that way I can feasibly cast my spells without Kaza, but can easily get multiple off with her. My go to win cons are going to be Reiterate + mana geyser/ brass’s bounty with either BSZ or Epic Experiment to go with it, and a pair of copy spells alongside Ral, Storm Confuit as well. As far as my wizards go, the aforementioned Mizzix, Melek, Baral and Electromancer are fantastic; and aside from them I’m deciding between untapping Wizards like Aphetto Alchemist to bridge that gap with Kaza or utility ones like Goblin Flectomancer or Nivix Guildmage. All in all, loving her versatility.

Reality Spasm is very neat on her aswell! You get to untap her and a lot of stuff for tap effects or even mana rocks / lands! I'm going to convert my Mizzix deck for this, just for the flavor

Nice deck tech. At the start of the video you state that one of the ways your building the deck is x spells and kicker spells, yet there's only one kicker spell in the deck in Rite of Replication?

can't Chakram retriever go infinite with kaza during your turns cause it untaps kaza after you cast a spell thus reducing all spells by X wizards but you need color mana

Can you untap kaza and stack his ability to make, lets say, a comet storm worth X = 100? with untappers like freed from the real

Yes you can! As long as what you are using to I tap Kaza isn’t something where you’d have to use her reduction, like a Paradox Engine or Retreat to Coralhelm

@@captainrustbeard461 it’s a wizard and provides a meaningful impact on the board, potentially shutting off entire decks. I perhaps over spoke depending on your playgroup, but when I built it I wanted wizards with good continuous effects.

9:40 You tapping 5 island and then you have added a cost of UUU? This doesn't make a hole lot of sense. Let us say you have 6 Wizards in play You can tap Kaza say you cast comet storm for 8 Comet storm sees Kaza and now only want 2 red because the colorless mana has been paid. It should be noted Kaza doesn't care if the spell is X she just reduce the cost by x. Say you have Kaza and 2 other wizards in play. Tap Kaza Tap 3 lands and float three mana cast frantic search which now only cost1 mana you untap the three lands and still have two floating (can be even more with bounce lands).

I was similarly confused. 5 islands, then there's 3 islands?? The math didn't add up for me either. Thanks for clarifying.
