Can't think of another 70's band that sounds this good in 2022. (Eagles, maybe.) Even 80's era bands don't sound this good. And, KC has so many hits. What a crowd pleasing event.
@@greek4000 do you think 99.999% of the world can name one song by Tower Of Power? I just checked Tower of Power 2022 LIVE. Sounds damn good but they don't have the familiar string of non stop Top 10 hits like KC & The Sunshine Band. My comment remains.
@@ZumaDogg I have to agree with you. I've ALSO heard Tower of Power sounds VERY good, but I'll admit I'm "hard pressed" to remember the titles of any of their songs.
Que triste que hay quienes no se dan cuenta de que el tiempo paso y se quedan enfrascados en el tiempo, sin cambiar y sin vivir una vida personal justa.
Why in the world, does he think needs those wannabe dancers/strippers/singers flappin all around? They have no purpose. People pay to hear him! His voice is still good enough he can carry himself without all the unnecessary, to say the least distractions! He also might want to stand behind the keyboard and dance instead of in front but hey, gettin old sucks! KC, your fine, you don't need the travelin circus! You and the band is all you need! 🤦♀️
I worry for his health, he became visibly bigger during the year 2022 while touring. I guess being on the road and eating "hotel food" isn't good for the body.
@@kendallevans4079 I agree but sometimes some people even like KC would admit that its often hard to stay in healthy shape even let alone finding healthy food to eat.
@Jeff Flaherty I really appreciate KC he made quality fun happy party style music and I am so glad to see him still out there at his age I still have all his albums from back in the 70's
I noticed this as well on several recent KC videos. I asked a drummer and he told me that the shields are used so that the high frequencies from the snare and cymbals do not bleed into the vocal mics. It really messes up the mix that the sound engineer sets up for the whole band. But he also said he normally sees these used in a studio, not so much a live performance.
@@josemuse4119I was a recording engineer in the late 70's and back then, not sure how it is now, most studios had a "drum room" which was it's own little room about the size of a small bathroom where the drum kit was set up. The issue is the drums are usually over powering and hard to control, the frequencies are all over from the low kick to the high hat.
Hasn't KC gained up to maybe over 100 lbs? Wow back in the 1970s he was svelte & could dance like an athlete. By the way I hate these videos shot from the audience
Just because you CAN wear skinny pants doesn't mean you SHOULD. Also, dancers are unnecessary. Not sure why every singer now thinks they have to incorporate a stage full of dancers in their shows. Silly. Surely shouldn't have the short, older lady on the right. That said, he still pretty much has his voice.
I DON'T care for the dancers either, the only thing I can think of is KC thought he'd use them to cover the "gap" from losing his amazing DANCING horn section. Although she looks like one of the dancers, Maria is actually a back-up vocalist, she's been with him for 30 years since he reformed the band in the early 90's. (Like KC she's gained a bit of weight over the years. Since some people like to knit pick, I'm surprised no one has pointed that out yet.)
