You have to learn master strike from captain Bernard, it’ll make your life much easier in melee combat, and many other things to. Great Video btw, love your editing
I may revisit this game after this comment and take a closer look into the combat system, thanks very much for supporting small creators! I hope your karma will reward you somehow!!! I really do appreciate it!
I will try to make some content out of it and I will make you guys proud. Im going to look this strike up and If we revisit this game im definetly going to mention these coments there! Thank you for stopping by and thanks supporting.
Thanks so much bro! Love your profile pic and also i totally agree that the combat system is very unique and pretty demanding on a casual gamer. I will revisit this topic with another fun video. I hope i will give it justice.
@@ThatMedievalCat Not long at all, you just talk to him, he teaches you how to do it, you defend from his attacks 3 times, and boom, you now know master strikes. Takes about 2 minutes at most
@@ThatMedievalCat Oh, also another note, you can bring mutt, the dog at skalitz with you. He should be at the mill. After a few levels in houndmaster he can attack enemies and also help you hunt rabbits, makes the whole hunting mission with Sir Capon way easier if your bow skill is low.
To be honest. The combat system doesn’t really suck, you just suck. It is an RPG. To get good you need time and a whole lot of patience. If you want to be good at fighting then follow these here steps: 1. Get the perk from the herbalist skill that gives you +strength for every flower you pick and then pick a whole lot of flowers. It is important to max out that strength skill as soon as possible. Agility and vitality are also important for stamina so whilst you’re picking flowers do some bunny hopping like a little bunny rabbit. 2. Pick a weapon that matches with your strength or agility skills. If your weapon doesn’t match your strength/ agility skills then your swingspeed, reaction time and damage will be extremely reduced. 3. Train combo’s and learn the masterstrike as quickly as possible with Bernard. He is your new best friend and you’ll need to practice your skills a lot with him if you want to be better. 4. Keep track of your stamina during battle. With good plate armor you’ll be almost invincible if you keep your stamina above 25% of the stamina bar. If your stamina runs out during battle you’ll start to take damage. 5. Do some side quests for overpowered armor and weapons. Some side quests are more fun and rewarding that others. Completing the tourney quests will give you a neat lords of Leipa armor set for example. 6. If you are overwhelmed during combat walk backwards and keep walking backwards. Don’t let them surround you and stab you in the back. Never ever ever panic if things go a bit sour and keep calm. 7. Put Pebbles (your horse) down and replace him with a good loyal steed with good stats from any stable. Level up horsemanship and bond with the horse and you’ll never get thrown off again. 8. If you’re really outnumbered then do hit and runs from your horse. These are some very basic tips that you need to git gud. Remember this game is a RPG and it is very slow pace.
Totally agree! Its just a matter of perspective. I never knew about A LOT of the things you have listed. I will probabbly revisit this game in an attempt to get better and have more fun. But I have to say that I stand behind my statement that the combat system sucks when you don´t invest a considerable amount of time into it. I think the "problem" is that we are very used to RPG as very capable characters i.e. the witcher. So when I got my hands on henry it was just so slow and as a casual and ocasional gamer of hardcore games I needed to adjust to that. Anyways. I really do appreciate your comment very much!!! THANK YOOUU
