Two promos of veteran broadcaster John Criswell (Recently left WFAA) coming to KDFW as the new 6 & 10pm anchor replacing Steve Bosh who left for KUSI/San Diego. Both Bosh and Criswell retired from Broadcasting. Oh, there's a Howard Ballou 10pm teaser/ID as well.
John Criswell passed away on July 13, 2023, at the age of 83. RIP John and Godspeed.

John was my grandad. We would get lunch every Sunday together and talk for hours together, eventually staying so late into the afternoon they’d move us outside. we’d sip on diet cokes discussing love and historical empires and his favorite breed of dog and the places we had lived and the things we had seen. He had a sharp wit and was undoubtedly intelligent. My parents would berate me for being too honest with him but he absolutely adored it. He loved deeply and meant everything to me. I was born in the 2000s, so was never around for his tv career. I loved seeing this. Thank you for posting it.

He was. He came to KDFW in 1990, and co-anchored with Clarice Tinsley at 6 and 10, until the Fall 1996 graphics and music change (both didn't last and were dropped in Fall 1997).
