watching his interviews really reminds me how important it is to retain your joy for life and curiosity about the world and the people in it! i’m so happy for him!
On a different RU-vid video that had Ke Huy Quan in it, a commenter said they wanted to liquefy that moment and inject it directly into their veins, LOL. That's exactly how I felt too. Everything about his comeback story is so inspiring that I want to take it like a medication so it can heal my soul.
1983 he was filming his first movie, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. 40 years later, he wins his first Oscar and then is presented the Best Picture Oscar by Harrison Ford all while Steven Spielberg, Kate Capshaw and John Williams are there in the auidence. Pretty special. That hug between him and Ford...easily one of the best Oscar moments ever along with his speech when he won. Oh and btw...Jeff Cohen, who co-starred with Ke in The Goonies as Chunk, is his lawyer now. He helped get him the role that won him an Oscar. To add even more awesomeness to this awards show...Ke co-starred in Encino Man with Brendan Fraser, (that was Fraser's second movie, first starring role) who last night won Best Actor and like Ke was making a huge career comeback.

When he won his 1st award of the season , the Golden Globe, he looked down at Steven right in front of him. His heartfelt thanks to Steven had me in tears. Steven obviously still has great affection for him. It was a very sweet emotional moment.
One of the most deserved Oscars of the century, if not all time. Yes, the narrative around his return is great, but it's also a phenomenal performance in its own right.
Absolutely. A truly wonderful performance. A quintessential Supporting performance. What Supporting really means. He's so charming in this great movie. He's a rock, an anchor, a mainstay, a fully engaged in the moment scene partner. Well deserved Oscar.
This 95th Academy Awards Show turned out to be one of the Warmest & Heart~Felt Academy Awards Show so far! It made so many fans cried around the World! 🙏🌷🌿🌏💜🕊
Great example of a man living life with gratitude. May he get so many jobs he doesn't know what to do with.. who would not want this guy on their set..
I always enjoy listening to Ke Huy Quan speak - he is so likeable. I also enjoyed listening to the interviewer in the background laughing at his answers. Ke Huy Quan, you deserve the awards. May you be offered more movie parts and win many more in your future movies!
I have loved Ke Huy Quan since I saw him in Indiana Jones. He has not changed a bit. He is still has that childlike quality and I love him for that. I love how positive he is and how happy he seems to be. It is a breathe of fresh air to see at least one person in Hollywood I can admire. I also admire Kurt Russell and Weird Al Yankovic because they seem like good guys.
It's almost heart breaking to know that he never had winning an Oscar before, he was one of the best child actors I've seen before, but knowing that he finally won one and how humble he accept the award with words of wisdom, it was really wholesome to see it, I cried tears of joy, Ke Huy Quan, this was well deserved, I wish you won many more in the future, you are worthy and truly deserves more recognition, congratulations!!! 👏👏👏👏
A few years ago out of curiosity I googled Hey Huy Quan and say he was doing as a stunt coordinator. I never new of his issues getting an acting gig, but now am glad he was able to because we're all the better for it. :)
I completely adore this man!! I was a huge fan of Indian Jone, Goonies and Encino Man. I am so glad he got this comeback! He truly deserves it! Such a humble and kind human!
This is a true story of perseverance. He left the industry for so long and then came back and bloody *smashed* his comeback role. This man certainly deserves his Oscar. I cant wait to see him in more movies.
