Harrison Ford gets EMOTIONAL talking to fan 

It's so heartwarming to see the genuine appreciation Harrison shows when people tell him how much Indiana Jones means to them. This is a lovely interview.

I must praise Phoebe Waller Bridge for letting the fan and Harrison shine in this interview. Never calling attention to herself but really admiring the interaction unfolding beside her.

Harrison felt that at the end. That hit him in the heart. Yes it’s a job, but he should take more credit for the life he gives to these characters and the way they touch people. The interviewer said it best: If I was ever having a hard time as a kid, Indiana Jones was always there to take me away for a little while for an adventure. And so much of that is Harrison’s doing

It took a lot of balls to get so personal in your position as the interviewer, but you toed that line and got to connect with a legend without overstepping any boundaries. A truly beautiful ending where you spoke for so many people! With the negative reception of the movie overall, it's nice to see Harrison acknowledge the love the fans have for him.

Harrison Ford is without any doubt one of the last old-school-gentlemen-actors. And a living legend.

“This is my job. Look at a story, help to create a character to tell this story. I love this job.” Harrison’s a real one.

Harrison likes to play a wry sense of humor most of the time but you can see his smile just after the 5:00 mark is totally genuine and that he truly does care and appreciate the fans and the characters.

I am 38 and I grew up with Indiana Jones movies like many others. I am having a very difficult time in my life just when Dial of Destiny was released. It helped me feel better the same way his movies used to cheer me up when I was a little kid.

I have really enjoyed seeing Ford in interviews for this movie lately. He just seems so genuinely appreciative of fans and seems to be very thoughtful of the career he's led. I know the film hasn't done so well, but it has really brought out a lot of love for him and his career. I hope he understand how genuinely appreciative people are of his career and the wonderful films he's been able to bring us.

Man, the bit about how as a child you could have terrible shit going on at home or school but you’d put on a VHS/DVD and just watch these movies over and over - yeah, that got me. It was Indiana Jones, it was Back to the Future, it was Moulin Rouge, LOTR old Disney movies- and it genuinely helped me through some really tough times in childhood. So yeah, thank you Harrison Ford.

Totally agree, The Last Crusade was the first live action movie i saw, at the theater, with my father, when i was 6 , so i have a special place in my heart for Indy, and still to this day, one of my favorite movies of all time.

I really love that he never let the bad reviews of DoD get to him. He’s still proud of it. He’s still proud of Indy no matter how bad one of his movies was. He enjoyed giving us the stories. And now he can finally hang up the hat and watch us admire the character he’s given us for the past 42 years. Harrison Ford is a true legend.

I always think of Harrison Ford as a kind of ol crank but watching this I’m 100% sure that’s just a persona he plays up in the media. What a thoughtful, passionate, beautiful man.

The reason this character is so beloved other than the obvious of how charismatic Harrison Ford is. I know for me growing up watching these films with my Dad, I looked to him as my own personal Indiana Jones always being amazed at the things he could do that I hadn’t learned yet. Getting to go sit at a theater and watch the final chapter unfold with my Indiana Jones is a memory I’ll cherish for years to come.

Having the opportunity tell your hero how much he means to you is a rare thing indeed, especially considering how old he is now. This is something to be truly cherished.

I can absolutely relate to how you must have felt during this interview. I met an entertainer that did similar things for me in my childhood. I told them, they reacted in a similar way. It was an incredible moment with a hero. Glad you got your moment too!

Not ecstatic about everything they did with this movie and her character, but going to the theater with my Dad and seeing this was special. He showed me all his Indiana Jones VHS tapes when I was a kid, along with the Indiana Jones TV series.

What a great interview...why? Because I related with the interviewer. Harrison Ford is just one of those rare guys that you connect with through his films and as a person because he has integrity. To have the opportunity to meet with him and say "thank you" is special.

What the interviewer said was true, Indiana Jones has helped me in some of the hardest times of my life, especially now, my ex girlfriend left me a little while ago and I am still unable to move forward, however rewatching the Indiana Jones films and especially watching this on on release day, it reminded me that everything will be ok, that I can be as strong as Indie, and it reminded me why I love movies and why I’m still living today, so thank you Mr. Ford, thank you for giving us these beautiful films I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Dear Brent, First of all, thank you. I am a 57 year old high school teacher in Portland, Oregon. Your interview was just fantastic and you did such a terrific job of listening and basically holding it together which I really admire and deeply respect. The comments you made regarding how important Harrison Ford and the characters he has portrayed were to you and so many others who had hard times as a kid, were so genuinely beautiful and so right on that this old cluck just burst out in tears like a three year old. Indiana Jones has always been a refuge for me when the world becomes overwhelming and so much of that has to do with Ford's ability to take on the character of the "everyman," despite the fact he was portraying such an exceptional hero. He did this with Han as well. I can remember going to the theatre alone in 8th grade to see Raiders of the Lost Ark in Phoenix in 1981. As I found my seat, I can still clearly recall my excitement and almost nervousness. I loved Star Wars but NOW I was going to get two hours with Han Solo all to myself! That was exactly how I remember looking at it. And then the film started. That first complete shot of Indy stepping into the light after relieving one of his company of a gun with a whip was when I knew that this wasn't going to be a Han Solo movie. It was going to a lot better than anything my 13 year old brain could have ever believed. Since then, Indie has gotten me, and so many others, through dark times by believing that anything is possible, a sense of humor goes a long way and that the qualities WE ALL admire in our heroes can be ours. It is only a matter of discovering them within ourselves. I'm still searching and that's okay. Indiana is too. Thank you again for absolutely lighting up my day Brent. You did such a great job and Harrison was so moved by what you said which was I believe, what so many would have wanted to tell him if they had been there. Now that's a great reporter. Cheers.

It’s been really great to see Harrison Fords emotional response to the fans during the promotion for this movie. It almost feels like this is his farewell tour even though he has many projects on the horizon. At the same time this is Indiana Jones’ farewell tour so that makes sense.

Yes, Larry Kasdan, he really needs to take a lot of credit for writing the character of Indiana Jones. He wrote the script and myself having been a major in film in college, the movie script is the “blueprint”. Too often the screen writers don’t get enough credit. (Edited for correction)

Just spot on! When things felt tough, you could always get under a blanket and watch Indiana Jones. I was to little to see raiders of the lost ark so when I had the age. I first saw Temple of doom. Great childhood memories! I can just hear the themesong and get goosebumps. Love the music so much that we played it on organ at me and my wifes wedding and both my childrens baptism. So powerfull! ❤

I’ve known Harrison since he was this wise-ass kid in American Graffiti and followed him through the galaxy and through the Amazon jungles. Fact is there was a line in his movie that said “a dog? you were named after a dog?” So, I name my puppy “Indiana” or INDY for short. So when I call Indy, I remember the star!!!

Everyone eventually grows old as they reach the tail end of life, but it saddens me to see screen legends getting older that once were heroes and inspiration for kids worldwide

Great and a very heartfelt interview with Harrison Ford, the man who for me portrayed the most iconic characters of all time. Im 53 and hes been with me since I was a child, he was my hero, younger people would not understand the effect this man and his characters had on people at the time. Indiana Jones and Han Solo were my heros. Raiders at the time was pure magic in the Cimema that massive Rock chasing indy out of the cave was incredible edge of your seat stuff, and the latest movie is simply fabulous. I have to say his co star Phoebe was brilliant. Sir you did very well with Harrison to get what he really feels about the character and its effect on people because it is true. Harrison it seems to me is a deep person, and he doesn't much care for the limelight and doesn't suffer fools. But when you came out with the indy doll he melted man, and this is a testament to the true character of the man, because Harrison Ford is Indiana Jones and he cannot be replaced. The new movie brought a tear to my eye and I loved it, it brought me back 43 years to the feeling of a 10 year old and thats magic and is rare.. Thanking you.

What a stunning interview. Thanks for getting him talking about his age like this. It's rare that you hear Harrison Ford open up in an honest way like this and what you said to him at the end made me tearful because it was so totally true to how those films felt to us as kids in that era. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was one of the VHS that we had recorded off the TV that i'd watch whenever i was allowed. The film just captured my imagination and felt so exciting and magical and Indy's character was just so cool to me. Crystal Skull was an absolute insult to the franchise but The Dial Of Destiny made me almost tearful with how much it felt like one of the original films. Right at the opener i loved the beautiful love letter to The Last Crusade when you had a de-aged indy running ontop of the train being chased by bad guys - just like how we had the Young Indiana Jones at the start of that movie. There were other nods throughout the entire film. The whole aesthetic was perfect. The lighting felt like it was something out of another era. The VFX work was done tastefully and for the most part didn't take you out of the story. Knowing that this would truly be the last Indiana Jones film we ever see with Harrison Ford (most likely) i'm so glad that he delivered such an incredible performance and committed to the movie at that age.

I got bullied every day I went to secondary school both physically and mentally, and my thoughts were I can't wait to come home and pop my Indiana Jones collection on vhs and later the widescreen dvds and like Jaws they would take me on this adventure and I loved the 4th disc with the behind the scenes Documentaries that I'd watch as much as the films and now at 31 when I saw the 5th one it was an emotional rollercoaster for a character who I'd grown up with my whole life to see him aged and living in a present time in his life and the ending was beautiful it was like saying farewell to a character who will still go on, in my heart and on screen my gratitude for Harrison Ford for bringing this character to life 💙💯
