I met Keanu about 16 years ago at the premier of the Matrix movie in NYC. I worked at the movie theater as a cleaner and server. The entire night, I saw all the stars in the movie come and go without any of them looking at me or saying hello to me, perhaps because of my color and the cheap uniform I had on. For 16 years, I have never forgotten the event that will follow the first few hours after I begun my shift at work that evening. Keanu walked up to me and asked me how I was doing!! I said to myself "are you really talking to me?" Believe it or not, he actually came up to me and showed compassion and care. That was the last thing I ever expected anyone to do that evening. He proceed to ask me about my job and where I come from. And I told him I was from Ghana and have been working at the theater for about a year. He chatted with me for about 5 mins but it felt like forever. He then gave me a hug I will never forget. He is truly a good human being. I don't usually leave comments on YT but this is to confirm this video. Keanu is good.
YES!!! He went back in time and found his keys and then realized he had to always be excellent to people and then he came forward in time and everyone LOVED him for it!
Keanu Reeves came here in Italy last year to shot some scenes for John Wick 2 and he was seen in Rome on the metro and in a public gym taking selfies and talking with fans. Everyone was amazed about how nice he is with people. I had read that in the US as well he used to take the bus and he was very nice with random people meeting him, but, you know, I thought it could have been a publicity stunt. It's not. He's really humble and down to earth, a rarity among celebrities.
I always liked Keanu Reeves. I could never put a finger on it. First time I saw him was Bill and Ted's Amazing Adventure or whatever it was called, because it was a movie my sons wanted to see it so I took them. I don't know what it was but something just said this this is a special person. Now I hear all these wonderful attributes about the man and that must have been what clicked when I first saw him. I've seen many of his movies and it is very much like I heard one person say oh it's a Keanu movie I'll go see it. That's exactly the way it is. I'm not much of a John Wick fan because of the violence in it, however I've seen two of them. I'm glad there are still some incredibly good, nice, generous, real people in Hollywood.
This says a lot about him. Actresses who have worked with him, actually wanted to do another project with him. Sandra Bullock, Rachel Weisz, Charlize Therone and Winona Ryder. Just speaks volume.of how much they love working with him, and the kind of respectful man that he is.
There's a loneliness about him, had his fair share of personal tragedy & heartache.. staying humble, working in an industry with EGO overload. What a strange paradox.
absolutely, this is one of my reasons i admire this man, he has gone through many tragic moments losing his closest friend and family members and still remains one of the most humble, caring and generous guy in the show business. You can tell he doesnt care about fame and money, just to live a normal life and do the things to keep him happy.
He's been through some pretty horrible losses and events in life. It tends to either harden and shut down a person's heart and soul, or it tends to deepen them, and fill them with caring and compassion. Given the things he's done for people he happens upon in life that are in dire need, and how he treats all people, I'd have to say he's one of the few legit good guys.
I really belive that one should be kind to others, you never know if it will be their last day on earth, maybe their on the brink of suicide and you say that one unkind thing that makes that decision for them. That's why I really respect Keanu. I think it was Rob Zombie that mentioned in an interview how much he couldn't stand when someone famous meets a fan then snubs them, and I agree!
+redrumax I guessed because she's the same kind of people as he is. She's maintained the relationship with him by writting him where ever he was through so many years. Both very down to earth and honest to themselves. Incredible and beautiful people and friendship.
Notice how every actor/cast member always say that he's kind and giving. I don't understand how people always criticize his skills, to the contrary he's one of the most under-rated actor out there. Rachel Weisz is lovely. She and Keanu have great chemistry, hope to see them work again in the future.
i had a brother pass in 1988 and he looked so much like him... i often think my brother became a movie star when i see his films, if i ever meet him in real life i probably would breakdown crying...
I think Charlize Theron too, she was holding his hand throughout an entire interview... in fact I think it's hard for his leading ladies not to fall for him
Keanu is one of the most bashed actors out there, but he so deserves recognition for all the great work he has done. I think he's great, and has long looooong been my favourite actor. One thing I miss though, is his smile. He doesn't have enough films that allow that smile to shine, the twinkle in his eyes and the glow on his face during those moments is amazing! No-one can beat it. Keanu, smile more please. xx
+MrTedMcForehead its not about how successful his movies are, its undisputable that he's lead some of the biggest and most impactful movies of our generation. They just say he's a bad actor in the acting sense, like he's never been nominated as an actor, thus his acting is not taken seriously. However, he also does theatre which is considered to be the highest level actors try to do, and he is one of the few superstars who still takes acting classes and doesnt just lean back on his success, he's very humble, extemely disciplined and private
+Chris Wilson Since quite a while actually. He's more respected as a person than he is as an actor. He gets a lot of flack as an actor, and is often referred to as being "wooden". I never really thought he was that bad personally, although I admit that he isn't the actor with the most range, but he definitely excels in certain roles.

In the end, Keanu is just a nice guy. Keanu isn't some incredible actor or action hero. It's not like the audience forgets it's Keanu in a scene. But he makes up for it with sincerity. People, including audiences, just like him. He has this weird charisma. We're all rooting for him. The beauty of Keanu is that he makes mediocre scripts work because he's Keanu.
-- He has a very Zen personality. I wouldnt be surprised if he study Hindu or other East Asian Mantra. He also shows traits of being a strong introvert.. which is good and bad. Makes him more focus on task, to keep his mind busy, but less likely to full komfort in big groups outside of work or be emotional open. The type of guy that gets mad and walks away vs konfront a person to deal with it.
Keanu Reeves reminds me of Paul Newman from my generation of actors. Easy going not aloof, handsome but not overwhelming. He is wonderful to watch. Thank you for sharing this video 🤩
OMG, I tried to be away from anything about Keanu because I feel obsessed with him, so I told myself just don't search for any information concerning him, but after few hours I said that to myself I opened RU-vid and I search for music and there it was this wonderful video where his coworkers telling how incredible human being Keanu is. Nice to see someone who is valued and admired by his peers especially when Hollywood is known for egos and drama and gossip. He's one of the authentic actors that is in it for the work not the fame.
I say a prayer for Keanu every night. He came into my life in a round about way. I dont know him personally but i feel my life beginning to heal after i met him on the net. All i can say is things got better. I wish him all the best in everything.

Keanu is a great actor, my favorite veteran in the movie industry. Man of Taichi was a badass film and shows that Keanu can direct movies with skill, even if it has a low budget.

I can remember him coming into our restaurant years ago in Baltimore during the filming of "The Replacements". He just came in and ordered a drink....very chill guy....and no airs. Just completely down to Earth. I don't kow tow to those who are famous to be sure...but he is a hell of a guy.

Oh, he was great in that! His portrayal of the character was so striking and surprising because of how intensely he played it and how different it was from the other characters I’ve seen him play and also from what he’s like in real life. And he played it so intensely and convincingly-he was super aggressive, menacing, and just downright terrifying in the role! I wish I heard people bring that one up more often, because it seems to be really underrated, and was really a fantastic movie overall as well as in terms of his role specifically. And I feel it’s been one of the best roles I’ve seen him in thus far! (Watched 19 of his movies so far-soon to be 20; I’m waiting to watch John Wick: Chapter 2, which I recently purchased alongside the first in the series. I’m already madly in love with the first John Wick film, and I’ve loved what I’ve seen in the bits and pieces I’ve caught of the second film. It’s so hard to wait! And I’m already so excited-albeit nervous!-about the third installment. ^_^ )

The chemistry between Neo and Trinity will always be to me a "classic" for all time. He brought out the very best from Carrie Moss. None of her other roles had the "pop" that Trinity with Neo had. Reminiscent of Bogart-Bacall or Grant-Hepburn. The 2 of them maintained that energy for all 3 of the Matrix movies. It is no surprise that he is such a stand up guy. He exhibits such humility when being praised by his fellow cast members.
Folks who care to know, know by now that Keanu Reeves is a tremendously giving person who moves through life with grace and humility, which doesn't by itself get me in the theater. Yet I've seen all his movies. He's underrated as an actor. I was really impressed with his heel turn in "The Gift" and I would pay crazy money to see him as Dr. Victor Von Doom in an MCU Fantastic 4 film.
although he isn't usually regarded as one of the greatest "classical" actors, he's always been my favorite. you can just tell he's down to earth, and real. he's just a normal guy that has a great job and does it well. he's been through trauma in his personal life and he is just such a humble man. i'd love to have a beer with this guy.

Everything I've heard about him is he's incredibly humble and easy going, he hasn't let fame go to his head for an instant. I think he's also suffered a lot of personal tragedy over his life too, friends who have died suddenly, etc, so that's probably helped keep him grounded and not taking things for granted. BTW, when he shoots the next John Wick movie he needs to do a funny outtake where during an intense fight he switches to his Ted Theodore Logan character, that would be HILARIOUS! "Strange things are afoot at the Circle-K... (BANG!!!)" Then when the shooters over, he looks around and surveys all the carnage, and goes "excellent" and does an air-guitar.
What an excellent actor. I have enjoyed his work and most recently John Wick. How admirable that his colleagues say so many good things about him. The common theme about Keanu is his kindness, giving, humility and his focus. Thanks Keanu, for the work, your art, you are an inspiration.

The man has experienced more pain, loss, and suffering than most human beings walking this planet, but what i admire the most about him is not that he still obtained celebrity stardom despite it all, what really makes me admire him a as a man is that despite all the pain it didn’t change him, he didn’t become cold, angry, jaded or resentful due to the shitty hand life dealt to him, instead he responded with gentleness, generosity and a sincerity rarely seen in today’s society. We should all aspire to be like this man in our own lives.
I think that it was a real pleasure and a new experience for the actor who worked with him. In addition to his enormous talent and work, you can also feel his positiv energy, which is realy rare. That is why he is a perfect man and captivates wherever he appers and whatever he does work's. I have Great respect for him. Kindness, naturalness and spontaneity make him so Great. ♥️
Keanu Reeves has always been one of, if not my favourite actor of all time as a person as well and I remember looking at his back story and seeing the level of pain he’s gone through and still remaining down to earth amazes me, he lost his wife, his child dies after being born, hasn’t married again or had a girlfriend and just lives a normal life in a normal home and goes out to public places to eat a sandwich. I just love u man
He has been through a lot, but he wasn’t actually married to Jennifer, plus Ava was actually stillborn. Still very tragic either way, though! 😔 And it’s not necessarily that he hasn’t had any other girlfriends since; he’s very private and doesn’t disclose his personal life much. I’d be quite surprised if he’d actually spent the past nearly two decades completely single, especially since he expressed that he would like to eventually find the right woman and get married, start a family.

Mattathias Macabees I first saw her in Stealing Beauty, but wasn’t really paying attention (even though she was beautiful), it was a smaller role. When I saw her in Swept from the Sea (possibly her first leading role in a movie?) I was head-over-heels, completely mesmerized by her... And still am! The fact that she is, by all accounts, a very kind & grounded person just makes her even more attractive!

Being able to stand, knowing with compassion and empathy the plights of others for you yourself have had many of your own!
Fantastic, rare actor. Always seems very humble in interviews. Not full of himself even though he by all means could be with his success. Not many ppl that would stay as down to earth and authentic and non-arrogant with his money and stardom. I dont even know if I myself would stay the same person. Money changes most ppl. Success and celebrity status changes even more. Hes not only a brillant actor but doenst get corrupted by earthly temptations. Quite impressive. More movies pls, man. THE most charismatic actor in Hollywood of the last 25 years! From the first moment I laid my eyes on him, I said to myself "This guy got IT, he's special!" And it turned out he was a very nice guy and even though he has been under scrutiny for his parts earlier, I think he has grown as actor also.
