He’s real. That’s not common for Hollywood. This is a guy who rides the subway rather than have a car and driver. Hollywood won’t break him even with all that’s coming out now.
Very rare to not be forced to sell your soul to the dark forces running Hollywood, in return for being a famous star...he could be the real deal who did not sell his soul--I'd like to know how he managed that.

He's not just the guy who rides the subway... he's the guy that gives up his seat in the subway. And the guy that spent nearly all his earnings from The Matrix 3 to buy each and every single member of the crew all the way down to the catering staff a motorcycle as a thank you...
you can tell that he answered each question with giving thought, and expressing himself instead of how other actors just answer the questions from almost an acting persona
I think that's how the game's played; think the Hunger Games in those talk show interviews. They play the game for either publicity or some selfish motive. Keanu seems to not want to play that game, if he ever did! Lol
At the rate he is aging he will still be playing leading men when he is 68, rather than anyone's grandfather. The only thing that gives away his age is that he doesn't have an iPod.

I haven't seen this interview posted before so it's my first time viewing it KEANU, I wish you were in more romantic movies like HALLMARK. I do not watch violent movies like John Wick. There's too much violence with guns in the world as is. I am very happy that you donate to many charities including your sister's leukemia / cancer and many children's ones. It is wonderful also you recognize the movie Crews who are behind the scenes that make you look so good in each movie and take good care of you and vice versa. He's a cool cat, I've seen him a few times in NYC walking down the street. He's very real, I didn't stop and chat or take a pic, he was strolling and relaxing alone, no entourage. He seems like a laid back dude, very nice not the typical L.A crappie, self absorbed nonsense. He's one of my favorite actors, regardless if his films make money or not.

I am a native Spanish speaker, and what I can see (or listen to) in this interview is that he is speaking articulately in order to make the interviewer (who is from Uruguay) to understand him better. That is very kind of him.

+Marko Kecman I really enjoyed most of his films. Sc-fi and certified geek here. I think he has had a hard life during his acting career. However, he has close friends and good parents. A clear sense of right and wrong. His films show where he felt out of control in the matrix, so he create Thomas aka Neo. The Day the Earth Stood Still. I have no idea how many time this film has been remade, what versions are out there but I think his version was fantastic and I believe he felt compelled to make us realise that. this planet does not belong to us and it never has. We evolved and I watched a woman interview him about the film. She said that she felt it was terrifying for children and she wouldn't let her child watch it. I wouldn't let a young child watch it, or another favourite of mine is John Wick. This is art, he's trying to show the good and evil in this world. There is an age you can watch these films, but if you're weak, or vulnerable they could actually terrify those who are oblivious to what's going on the world today. He chose the location for a reason, to make people realise that shady things do go on and who's stopping it? Nobody is above the law and justice. However, we have the choice to make. Live right or pay the price? For religious people, or elderly this would be a film they would not want to see. However, they still stand up and judge, when they are praying for peace too? This I don't understand. His is art, but underneath in the real man he believes in exactly the same thing they do. He's a very humble man, shy man, nervous and now he probably wants to be left alone in between his movies to actually see amazing things up close. They go to fabulous locations of historical influence, places we can no longer visit, or see for fear of our safety. Why is our history locked away? I think we are evolving or modernising. Evolution takes a very long time. For a start, we still have body parts we don't even need. Some children are born with learning difficulties. Nature and life is such a fine balance, just one thing wrong and it can fall apart. I was a very young mum and an older mother. However I can relate to his art in so many ways. I don't have facebook any longer. I was so frustrated when I closed my facebook down. They want reasons why, where will you go, what will you do without us, do you want to leave a message for your friends to see you're just taking a break. I have friends and relations all over the world, all races and I know the mess this world is in. My friends love me and I love them. We are using a more private app now, although I haven't even looked at it much. Sick of taking my photo so that people think I'm supermum. It's stupid, I'm 45 years old and no, I'm not fat, I'm ageing but hopefully with dignity. I like classical clothing and fashion if it suits me. I love to feel like I'm wearing soft jogging bottoms and hoodies, or dresses. Unfortunately because I have large non sagging breasts (yes, I did breast feed my children, not that it's anyone's concern). I cover myself in layers of clothes because of men and women who just stare. I like to look into people's eyes when talking, not see them staring or even trying to touch my body. I am 45 years old, I'm a grandmother! This crazy tit envy is awful. I think he has the same problem, he's sick to death of looking like a sex object that women lust after. He's a man who should be shown respect what ever age he is!
Met him at a roller derby nightclub in NY when I was in my 20s. Very low key, soft spoken, and a gentleman. The place was quiet and we just talked at the bar for a little while. Good vibes. Doesn't seem like he's changed much.
I admire him not only for his acting, but in how he chooses to live his way of life. He's a genuine human being, no big ego, he's very committed to his work. He's very humble, & low key person, generous to a fault. Mostly he is a decent guy who lives life on his own terms. I also respect his honesty, & Kindness.He's respectful to everyone. He is magnificent 🤗

I have mad respect for him, he has been through so much shit in his life and still gives and gives, he's respectful and so generous! he gave most of his money that he made from The Matrix to the special effects people. Truly a great man, I hope he keeps on keeping on and stays positive! I'd love to kick it with him, we'd have good times, I'd probably ask him if he thinks we live in a society like the matrix. I want to know his views on how the world works.
Muscle Cat I dont think he's a good actor but I got a lot of respect for him. He might be one of the few people I actually give a shit about in Hollywood. His baby died. His girlfriend died. His best friend died. His mom was a stripper and his dad abandoned him when he was a kid. Dude had dyslexia which made school a bitch. He had to jump around from city to city growing up. Dude donated a fuckton of his money to the film crews he worked with and to charities. He takes paycuts in films.
He is really awkward and he is a bit weird... Idk how I can think anything differently when he is in the store and peering over the chips at the end of the isle at me... I was like the youngest person there and probably why but I am not quite sure what he was doing... he was definitely not worried about being swarmed by adoring fans...

cannot understand the comments from some here that hes not a great actor?? hes an excellent actor, ive seen him in so many different kinds of films and i think he puts everything into the character he plays, hes very emotionally transparent, thats good in an actor, you need to be believable in the role and he is..
I think that this is what I perceive about him as well, but only because he is so very sensitive.... He would get easily overwhelmed by something inside of him..

I think he was about to get married to his fiancée but she died of a car accident just days before the wedding which caused him not to want to get married or be with anyone else.
I read she had a miscarriage, and that's why they broke up but remained friends, then she died of a car accident which made him believe that not everything happens for a reason
He is such a deep thinker, and has a beautiful soul. You really can't put those two qualities together very often, especially when it comes to Hollywood 'celebrities'. He's truly a man whose inside, is just as attractive as his outside.
The interviewer, she's so hot but she didn't use her sexiness at all. She did her best homework, prepared the questions very well. Rare gem. I respect her so much and wish her great success in her career.

I remember him doing an interview decades ago and I remember him saying "I'm not the smartest guy" and that really struck me because he seemed genuinely to think he wasn't smart and at that time I didn't know much about him so I assumed it was true. He actually seems very intelligent to me. Love you Keanu. You are so beautiful inside, out and I love your calming beautiful voice. Just like your name. You are such a beauty. Wish I could meet you.

I just ran across this interview and I gotta say she is probably the best interviewer I have ever seen. She seems really calm and comfortable and so does he, no pretention and very enjoyable. Why don't we see anyone in the US like her? Hope she has a great career! Gotta love Prince and Keanu!!!!!!
