I am looking for a good drive to match with my PRS Sonzera 20 clean channel. I can get great tones at just about any volume out of both channels. The problem is that the foot switch PRS provides creates a horribly loud pop when you switch from clean to dirt. Not practical in the middle of a set. It sounds line gun fire. No kidding. So I need a good drive into the clean channel so that I can get dirty when I need to without running back to my amp. Right now I am boosting the clean channel with a Super Clean and a Donner compressor. I have 10 other drives and I just can't get the tone. This pedal may be the ticket. Do you have a Sonzera profile in your Kemper. If so have you used it with this pedal?
amazing video. what settings do you find you are using the most? my players series strat doesnt sound nearly as good as your prs...i am also using a vox...maybe my settings are off but i find my notes getting muddy (especially on the klon setting with gain at 10)
like...i can't explain it...if my ocd side (dan) gain was at 1:00 like you had it...id loose ALL my chirpyness (my bluesiness if that makes sense)...your demo manages to keep all that...maybe its part player part guitar and part amp but still...i am way off when i use it
The thing i dont understand is: if you can physically decide the order by just pressing the buttons, why add a knob to do that?! I own this pedal and its messing my head!! X)
What do you mean? The toggle switch is only applicable if you have both channels of the pedal turned on. That toggle determines if the boost feeds the drive or the other way around. It produces very different results based on the stacking order.
