With peace and love, I don't think Ethan interviewing a Crip would go well. Andrew does a good job at keeping a respectful distance, which helps the people that have come on his show feel comfortable coming as themselves. As much as I love Ethan, I feel there's a degree of mockery ( at times unintentional) which can backfire with the wrong person. Just saying. This can become a Keemstar at Adin Ross' place situation...

Shout out to Dan for always keeping it real. I feel like he’s the only one sometimes that doesn’t just play/feed right into what Ethan wants and that’s super important in my opinion. Ethan feels very disconnected to some things in life, like gang violence, etc. and Dan is the only one that has the appropriate responses in my opinion.

You just have to appreciate Ian and Dan! Obviously the whole crew is a welcome sight but you just have to appreciate how Ian just knows when to not speak or hype up Ethan on a bad take while the rest of the crew just goes along with it and Dan is always quick to call out some bullshit. I think Dan has the right idea about interviewing channel 5 characters. Andrew has his own thing going on, and trying to insert yourselves in his work may put a strain on your relationship if he is not 100% on board. I think introducing him to people like C man is a great idea and I would love to see it! With peace and love, Ethan may be crossing some boundaries by expecting Andrew to want this

To clarify, I am a huge H3 fan and I’ve seen literally every video, but I found the whole segment about the gangs to be a bit… what’s the word? Ignorant I guess? The gang culture (especially in LA) is a tragedy. It takes many lives and causes a lot of pain for those lower-class communities. It’s a sensitive topic that many people make fun of and dehumanize or stifle the seriousness of it. Making a few light-hearted jokes is fine. And as a woman, I appreciate the way that they are respectful when talking about things like SA, but there are other issues that deserve respect as well. And this is one of them.

Speaking as a former homeless junkie thank you Olivia for what you did and that you saw humanity in us junkies. Most don’t.

I love that Dan spoke up against Ethan with the whole him getting people from Andrews shows. It’s super unoriginal if he just interviews the same people as Andrew. We would just be seeing the same stuff over again as the Andrew interviews.

I agree with Dan in not taking the people that Andrew interviews, it's kind of weird to piggyback off of Andrew's content and re-interview the people that he's already done a good job interviewing. You guys do a great job finding your own content and interesting people to interview in your own way. Not sure if Channel 5 would be cool with it but it would be interesting to pay Andrew to do his style of interviews for people in the H3 sphere for your show like C-Man lol. Edit: Btw I’m not trying to shit on Ethan with this comment! I think he’s always done a great job finding interesting people to make videos with (for example the Ryan Jaunzemis videos which were my favorite from the H3H3 channel) and I hope he can find more people that he actually wants to interview!

I think Andrew does a good job of allowing room for peoples quirks, whereas Ethan sometimes forces these characters into 2 dimensional versions of themselves. This wouldn’t work well with cmac at all, someone who seems to value respect.

I’m sorry but I think the cmac interview is a terrible idea. Ethan likes to ask demeaning questions and mock guests that he finds funny (like C man which was kinda hard to watch at times when the guy was trying to be serious and Hila would keep trying to unsuccessfully tone down the mockery ). Sure parts of it were funny but there’s definitely a line. He’s also very out of touch with the realities of gang violence and that kind of behavior in an interview w a member of one could end badly.

I just buried my childhood best friend today and had to come home to an empty house. I forgot about Monday uploads and it lifted my spirits some. I can listen to you guys and it feels a little less lonely.

Ethan's interviews are interesting, the issue is he only cares about his questions, so when the interviewee elaborates on some point (like C-man), ethan just interupts them to ask his question. He's the best at podcasts, and a master of great content, but let's face it: to be a great interviewer you need to be interested in letting the interviewee elaborate on what they want, within reason.

I've met a ton of bloods, crips, hoovers, woodlawn parks.. They're all generally nice to everyone *BUT* the rival gangs. The ruthlessness they show to rival gangs really takes away from any positive interactions they have. I know an 8 year old who was shot 11 times and lost his eye, because his mom dated a rival gang member. I've known women who were murdered while 8 months pregnant cause their brother was in a rival gang. If they can't find the guy they're hunting, they kill ANYONE in proximity, no matter how innocent.. Kids, wives, mothers.. It's fucked.

It’s amazing that someone who has never touched hard drugs can have such an informational background on addicts. Every person I know that knows about needle exchange is because they are addicts themselves, not because they are working to protect the addicts. This was a humane moment for me and I’ve gained a lot of respect for Olivia. Instead of talking about the politics of homelessness and addiction, I wish they let her talk about her experience of working there more.

Ironically channel 5 is shedding light on people of many walks of life and actually let's us see the human in them in the bits. I love the fact that cmac can just be with the maga lady and just hang. Insane crossover of worlds and makes them so Human and relatable.

Needle exchanges and other forms of harm reduction are essential when it comes to dealing with substance use disorder. Keeping people as healthy as possible makes it more likely that they recover. Most people are capable of recovering, but we need to keep them alive long enough to do so.

I’m an H3 fan and watch all the episodes every week, but the gang segment just wasn’t good. The reason why Andrew interviewing Crip Mac works well is because he listens silently and doesn’t do impressions of his accent or gang vocab. I don’t wanna see Crip Mac on the H3 pod because enough people were doing impressions of his accent and it felt really uncomfortable. It sounds like E finds his character to be entertaining without actually respecting him enough to not imitate him. Also - when Ethan was complimenting Crip Mac on how smart he was by creating his own vocabulary it felt very “white person compliments Black person on being intelligent”…didn’t sit well w me
