Although I grew up in the 80s, I only recently discovered Drakkar Noir and I love it. I enjoy the mysterious, sensual, spicy scent of it. I figure younger people have never smelled the scent and it will be new to them. People that are old enough to remember it would still appreciate it. So I agree as other's have said here, haters gonna hate but it's still an outstanding fragrance and a great value for the money!

Narciso Rodriguez for him is also very interesting. Inside of the painted walls that should contain the scent, there is a plastic bag that contains the juice, thus making it inoxidable. The bag upon extracting the perfume becomes like a raisin. Very interesting and age-proof

You'd find Drakkar Noir sitting next to Aventus in your barber's setup. Those type of fragrances are great gifts to give to barbers. Trust me, I know.

Awesome video and list as usual Ash! I bought Pulse of the Night from Fragrancenet right after I watched your review on it (quite some time ago). Paid about 50 bucks for it. Such an amazing scent for that price. Smells fantastic (that incense note is bomb) and lasts forever. Also, I still wear Drakkar to this day. It was one of my first fragrance introductions (my older brother wore it when he was in high school, and I used to steal sprays when I was in middle school). I personally don’t think it’s dated at all, but I am prone to love that style of fragrance anyway. Be well Ash! 👍

Props on LRE and Eau de Baux. I still have an old bottle of Verveine and it remains one of my favourite citrus fragrances ever. Couple of flankers made of that one too.

Very glad to see L'Occitane Eau des Baux featured, one great cold weather fragrance! I find it can also be layered with other simpler fragrances (eg. musky or vanilla/sweet ones) as long as those other ones are not spicy, since it's spicy enough on its own. In either case I think it is quite strong, better not to overspray. I wonder Ash if you own and have worn the current LIDG, and not just that original LIDGE bottle, and have worn the current versions (edt or edp) enough times to still recommend them. You keep showing just the original LIDGE bottle though. Sebastian from Smelling Great Frangrance Reviews thinks Guerlain kind of mutilated the fragrance, that current ones don't offer the same wearing experience as the original LIDGE by any means (apparently Tempo by Diptyque is a better alternative.) I have not smelled the original though, but I do not find the current LIDGs (neither edt nor edp) compelling at all.

Hugo Boss Private Accord would definitely make my list too👌🏽 and I understand why you chose Drakkar Noir. It must be a very nostalgic fragrance for you. I feel the same way about Tommy by Tommy Hilfiger and Hugo by Hugo Boss. Those are very nostalgic for me. I haven’t smelled those fragrances on anyone in a long time, but they hold a special place in my heart because they were the first fragrances I ever owned. Back when i was a kid too 😂 so I get it Ash, pure nostalgia 😄🤙🏽

Cool list, I was wearing Drakkar Noir today, love it and I'm not into 80s old school frags, I find it much more modern smelling than most from that decade, has aged well imo! A couple of 90s frags I've been wearing all year including winter; Blue Jeans and Tommy Hilfiger OG, both fantastic! Newer stuff: Armani Stronger with you, Azzaro Amber Fever, CK Obsessed Intense for Men EDP (amazing), Inessance Terre d'Evasion (unbelievable cheapie), CK One shock for men, Azzaro PH Intense EDP (2015).

Ash, I’d probably wear CK Obsession for Men before I attempt Drakar Noir, js..and that’s going way back. Funny thing, it smelled darker to me back in the day. There HAD to have been a reformulation. Everything else mentioned is gravy.. Pulse of the Night is a straight BANGERRRR!

If you like Pulse of the Night Issey Miyake TRY Radical Brown Armaf!!!!!!! Same basic scent with some synthetic cherry and tobacco! Amazing stuff and crazy cheap!

The only 2 I could recommend for casual buyers is Versace Oud and Prada Black - safe blind buys, others are very potent and very dense, may not suite your tastes for one reason or another, sample first.

Narciso Rodriguez edt is the perfect fragrance for where I live. That would be Aberdeen in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. The entire city is made of granite . Everything is grey ! Our summer lasts about 3 days …. and it rains A LOT !!! 😂😂

Lomani Pour Homme is some kinda lighter version of Drakkar Noir and it "sounds" a bit better, I think. :)

I had the Luna Rossa, and the bad thing about it is that its smells like something sour after one hour or so. And you wont notice it yourself if you dont think about checking it. It has an initial fantastic smell. But just sour booring smell after a while. And it projects very short. I can really see why they quit making it. Armani He is the much greater alternative to Luna Rossa, smells very similar but even better and keeps smelling similar. But project almost as bad as Luna Rossa.

It's a clone of pure havane but it's actually more on the cherry cough syrup vibe it's extremely sweet for a young person should've saved your money and just got ck one shock even though the performance of that one is not great but it's like 20 bucks lol

I picked up a little 30ml bottle of Drakkar Noir... Same reason... Just to have around and smell once in a while.. Don’t really wear it... same with Polo Green and Aspen.

Eau de Baux is a vanilla bomb. It is a designer version of McCormick vanilla extract from your kitchen cabinet. For me, that one is a NOPE!
