We have a huge problem with ticks here on our farm in Egypt. We have brown dog ticks and tiny oval black ones. Four dogs (one puppy). Ivermectin has become prohibitively expensive. We just cannot afford it. Thank you so much dear Doctor ❤️

Quick question you mentioned 7 tablespoons or 100 ml of witch hazel with aloe 2 tablespoon or 30 ml of liquid coconut oil and 60 drops or 2.5 mil of turmeric oil then later in the video you said 120 ml of witch hazel with aloe so would it be 100 ml of witch hazel with aloe or 125? Thank you

Doctor the Thayers witch Hazel with Aloe ORIGINAL that you show that said Hamamélis does not exist anymore. I went to amazon as well to the Thayers web page. There are 2 versions: 1.Thayers Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera, Original Astringent and 2.Alcohol-Free, Hydrating, Unscented Witch Hazel Facial Toner with Aloe Vera. Fresh 1/2 c catnip, 3 tbl lemon juice, 3 tbl apple cidar vinegar, 2 cups water. Bring to boil a few minutes, then simmer about 20 min. Place in refrigerator over night. Next day, strain liquid then pour into a spray bottle. Fresh catnip grow in many areas...people might mistake it for fresh mint because the leaves, stalk, and smell is a lot like fresh mint.

My little two year old maltipoo was bit by a tick hear it in northwest New Jersey got limes disease and immediately had trouble walking. Stop jumping up on the couch to sit on my lap couldn’t go up the steps. I had to carry her up the steps. This happened right away within a week or a few days later. after antibiotics twice injected, she seem to be herself again after two months thankfully. her Veterinarian is not Holistic but I like him a lot said that I had to use the tick repellent that you squeeze onto the back of the dogs neck a chemical. He kind of shook his head when I mentioned the Cedarwood spray. I decided to get the eight month collar all natural and the Cedarwood spray to try to prevent her getting bit again I just hope it works because I don’t want to use the chemical since a friend of mine many years ago her daughter put it on the back of her cats neck, but accidentally squirted in her eye. She died of a brain tumor behind that same eye two years later.

I fully support these ideas, but oil and water don't mix and as someone who has made homemade cosmetic things this hurts my eyes to see. Of course, this is highly antibacterial and probably won't get old even if nothing mixes properly, but for even distribution of things I'd just use liquid coconut oil and rub it in with hands.

This is good to know! What about cedar wood, I read it’s toxic to ticks. I made a tick salve with coconut oil, cedar wood essential oil, peppermint eo, eucalyptus eo, & lavender eo. I might have overdone it, but I despise ticks. The first day on a new trail with no repellent I had to flick off several ticks from my pets & check them thoroughly. The next day after I used the salve not a single one was anywhere near my dogs! I was amazed!

⁠⁠⁠⁠@@ruby7741I literally just put a glob of organic coconut oil, a few drops of cedar wood essential oil, a couple drops of peppermint essential oil, a couple drops of eucalyptus essential oil & a couple drops of lavender essential oil, spread it around & then put it on my dogs. I hope it helps your friends! Next time I’m making more & storing in a glass Pyrex or small mason jar

I accidentally put advantix dog on my cat. It was the weekend so I carried her today. The Dr. Gave her a steroid shot to reduce the swelling in her brain. It hits the nervous system. Dr. Jones if you are reading this is there anything else I can do to help her?

I found 55 ticks on my dog’s body, I was horrified. I use powders, sprays, everything but nothing works. And his fur is so thick that ticks aren’t noticeable even if they get big. I also clean him and check for ticks everyday. I missed yesterday and today i found so many. And also he isn’t even an outside dog. 😭 Been struggling with this since summer started.

Been nice if you had some ticks so we could watch the repellant in action. My dog is on Vectra 3D, which I do not necessarily like; but I do see its repellant really works. Mosquitos do not land on the dog, but I am covered. So if the ticks land on the dog with this spray conoction, they will want to jump off immediately?

While I love this idea, I cannot imagine putting something oily on my double coated, longish fur, on my farm dog. (australian shepherd) Especially layering it over and over. he will be so coated with dirt sticking to his fur. But, I would imagine that would repel ticks and most other bugs. because oily dirty fur will likely repel me too. lol Adding sulpher to this mix would be great too. Bugs hate, hate sulphur. learned this from putting MTG on my horses wounds. Which is how I learned about oil and the dirt. Well, that and oily fly spray. But oily fly spray is effective. between the oil and the coating of dirt after the horses roll in dirt, most flies and other insects, dont seem to think its worth it. i am going to try this spray on me. We have a lot of biting insects here, and I am overly sensitive to them.

Question: I rescued a feral cat two yeas ago in Ojai California. He has respiratory problems due to Thomas Fire. I took him to a local vet where I was talked into doing a panel to find out if he had worms because he bite off the fur on the lower back around the tail. Long story short it came back negative they gave me drugs to treat him. I did not do it, because the label says could cause cancer, tumors, respiratory problems, etc. etc. $400 later still no healing. I’ve been using bio tenacious earth on him and just wondering what would be a good remedy because it’s still biting. I’m wondering if it’s mites I feel it in my eyes if I don’t wash my hands immediately. I know somethings going on he’s a house cat for the last year. Can you please help me? Thank you so much.

I was going to mention this in a comment so I am glad you said it! I add Turmeric to my dogs food for the joint support aspect. I also add a dash of black pepper to activate the Curcumin. We need to start internal and make the host (our dogs) less appealing to these nasty little bugs!

(I can find the brand you show on-line, but not that identical label, so the label may just have changed over time…) Am anxious to try this to avoid the harsh commercial topicals on our dogs. New research comes up so formula may change. The previous one surely still does a decent job to repel the ticks. Then when you run out of ingredients simply try the new formula. Walaa😊

I also add one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to my dog's water bowl everyday as the smell of apple cider makes their skin smell that ticks don't like at all and they avoid it and won't attach to the dog.

Cedar wood essential oil with a carrier oil is an insect repellent. Works great.

So which is it…100 or 125 mls of witch hazel. Even if you were talking about the witch hazel and coconut oil together then it would be 130. Could you please clarify the amounts please.
