Add strips of tape to the lower-rear and lower- sides of the magazine so that the mag sits as far forward as possible, and once you do, your malfunctions will disappear. 10 round mags are know for bei g more reliable than 15-25 round mags because the 10 round mags are larger/longer and sit more forward in the gun. The aforementioned strips of tape are to mimic the way the 10 rounders sit.
This video talks about the exact problems that caused me to sunset my 10-22 in Steel Challenge. As a GM, I became tired of the match-killing reliability problems between the magazines and ammo feeding. This video is a must for anyone running the 10-round rotary magazines. Thank you for making this.
I only do half a turn of spring for ease of loading, each mag last about 500 rounds before I need to clean it for last round reliability. Wipe the rotor and screw clean, Wash the housing and feed lip in water, they feel new after washing.
Great video. I’ve only recently acquired an interest in the 10/22. I have been dependent on a bolt action for a long time. I’m almost 69. I think I could have a lot of fun with it. Thanks for the great information.
@@zebfox011 That must be your own opinion and not the hundreds of rifle/pistol magazines that have done extensive studies on rifles for decades, I've target practiced with friends and family over the years that owned the marlin 60 and never had any issues, every one including my brother that I have known with the 1022 has had issues with jamming, I've seen hundreds of people on RU-vid with how to fix a ruger extractor etc, I'm not knocking Ruger I just think they should fix the problem.
Please go directly to 7:17 to start the instruction for the Ruger magazine maintenance. You will thank me later. (Who's idea was it to go to the gun range with noisy gunshots interfering with the narrative?)
He's been dead for a LONG time and the company nowadays gives customers good firearms. Smith and a Wesson executives who insist on donating to Dems and ruining revolvers with internal locks however, are still alive and taking your money, clown.
