Getting better at jets because of you and Silk. Aim is still meh, but I can safely say that I am finding it easier to shake jets and keep on their tails. Keep up the good content!
When you activate ECM, it creates a "fake image" of your air vehicle in front of your actual vehicle (I don't know the exact distance, but I think it's close to 50 meters). While the ECM is active, the missiles shot at you are trying to hit that fake image and not your aircraft and that's why they start orbiting. When you fly in a straight line with a jet, the possibility to fly into those orbiting missiles obviously increases and that's why they often hit you when flying like you did in the video. This is why ECM works much better with helis as they're slower and flying into those orbiting missiles is far less likely. The best thing you can do in a jet to avoid a hit through ECM is to pitch up or down right after the ECM is activated. So technically locks never go through ECM, you just fly into them. It's noteworthy that the "fake image" is created to the direction where your nose is pointing at the moment you press the ECM key and stays there for the entire time it's active even if you turn (but it's obviosly still "attached" to your actual vehicle in a direction you were facing when ECM was deployed). MarbleDuck has an old video regarding this.
@@GhostGamingg Yeah I wouldn't trust the visual representation in BF4 as most of the projectiles shot by other players land in a slightly different place compred to what you see. I guess it's still kinda random and ECM is never 100% reliable, but you can actually increase the effectiveness with your own actions more than you'd think. It's difficult to explain like this and has to be learned in game, but I'd say I can easily dodge 9/10 locks fired at me with ECM by simply treating the situation in a right way.
3:19 Watching the previous AA that was on the enemy team hop into an attack helicopter and recklessly fly it into one of your AA’s is funny to me. AA users don’t make for good pilots, do they?
That must of been a very inexperienced AA driver. The thing is Overpowered and I'm hoping that they will tone it down in 2042 and make stealth jets more equipped for air to land like in bf3.
I just started playing bf4 for the 1st time to scratch my bf2042 itch and it feels impossible to even stay alive for more than 90 seconds 😂 it’s rough with nothing unlocked for any vehicles
Do you use your mouse to fly jets and helicopters? I use the arrow keys and i am not so good in jets, just in helicopters, but when I need to shot a soilder for example in a little bird, it is difficult for me. So, if you use the mouse I would like to try to learn in that way for BF2042
