Friendly grandma tip: for every pound of beef, grind a small to medium onion in the food processor and mix into the raw beef. Makes the tastiest, juiciest meatballs ever! Do the same with ground turkey or chicken. I do this for burgers and meatloaf, too! Mmmm

2:22 If someone doesn't have several pans, I recommend putting parchment paper on a cutting board, and then the meat balls on that parchment paper. When the first batch is done cooking, you can slide the parchment paper from the cutting board onto the baking tray.

I've made your apple baked oatmeal in the past and just recently made your protein waffles. I had bariatric surgery about 2 months ago so one waffle fills me up. It's been sooo nice having something packed with protein that's easy to reach for when I'm feeling lazy. I'm definitely going to have to make these meatballs because your recipes haven't steered me wrong yet!

I must say, I enjoy these recipes despite not having a super specific diet. There's a lot of talk about meat leanness in the comments (something I don't think about), but for fin I looked up the ground beef I use which if I've understood it correctly is about a 77/23... but oh well, it is dirt cheap for a reason in comparison to leaner meat which is twice the price 😂

Dude I was thinking *today* that I should do something like this. But I thought about using a kofte recipe which requires a lot more work, also I wasn't sure what's the best way to batch and freeze it (was thinking of doing smash burgers so they can stack in the freezer). I'll try your version it seems more manageable. Also I dunno if you have access to these sorts of things, but there's a type of kofte that uses roasted chickpea flour should make for even better macros than the oat flour.

@raditz9676
@raditz9676 9 месяцев назад
Awesome, thank you for sharing! I usually work with ground chicken breasts (never made meat balls though - but from now on I will!). Need ways more spices, totally not the beef experience, but kcal-wise the difference is crazy, due to lack of fat (same reason for the lack of taste I guess so some sauce is an absolute must 🙃). I'd also recommend making your own sauce. I usually go for low fat sour cream & spices or e.g. paprika cream or some other condensed stuff (or lighten up canned stuff so less kcal-dense + larger amount, but still tasty). I'm wondering if it was a good business idea setting up a meal prep kitchen? Making giant amounts of stuff like this, freeze & deliver to the half-assed, super-lazy meal preppers on bulk price.

I'm sorry but i just have to warn people - the zwilling fresh and save system is incredibly flawed and I wish i never took this recommendation from the channel. The bags simply do not last. They are NOT reusable for long since they can't lock the air in after just a few uses. They are very expensive to only last one or two uses. They constantly fail and my food gets ruined in the freezer as air starts to go in and cause freezer burn. At this point i'm just not sure if I should keep wasting money buying bags, or just throw the whole thing out. The pump works fine.

Yeah I would contact them and ask for help. They are willing to help in my experience. The bags certainly don’t last forever but I’ve been able to get many uses out of them and only had to toss a couple

@notfred596 8 месяцев назад
Sounds like you're overpacking them. At least 15 uses deep without issue (on multiple bags). Never had one fail, used for almost a year.
@MindyTunnell
@MindyTunnell 7 месяцев назад
They definitely could use some tweaking, but they're not unusable. I wish they closed easier. I wish I didn't have to press the button on the middle of the air sucker to get it to be "air tight" (which I feel like you're missing) Otherwise, I've had mine for a year and have only had 1 fail, a smaller one the zipper broke.
