I love this show. I think Keeping Up Appearances is up there as one of the best British comedies on television. You can clearly see from these outtakes all the actors had lots of fun working together and enjoyed what they did. I'll never get tired of watching this.
you prolly dont care but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can stream pretty much all the new movies and series on Instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my gf lately xD
I always crack up when I watch keeping up appearances I just love watching the show Patrica Routledge really brought the character to life she was the perfect choice to play Hyacinth bucket I mean bouquet
This was the show that got me hooked on British comedy. From here I went on to Only fools and horses, Dad's Army, As time goes by, Fawlty Towers, One foot in the grave, Porridge, Open All hours, Reginald Perrin, Rising Damp, Summer wine, and many, many more, I couldn't get enough Britcoms and I owe it all to a chance encounter with Hyacinth on PBS one night.
I found KUA on PBS too! If you haven't already, check out Black Books and Spaced! They are hilarious and on yt channel dead parrot. Can't forget Mr. Bean either.
I find American comedy to be more humorous but find British comedy, some of it, to be more relaxing as well as funny. I prefer to watch it over American comedies while I’m sick.
@@sarahmoviereviewer4109 it was slow at first but you come to love the characters. I’ve watched it so many times. Every time I’ve been sick lately I just had it on shuffle and just watched them run through. Misses Slocombe and Mr Humphries are my favorite.
I agree. I never tire of watching her. It's obvious she and Geoffrey Hughes loved working together, as there is so much natural affection and warmth between them. They always give me a lift! God bless them both.
LOVED this. My favorite is all the plants in the car. Obviously somebody was behind that one in the middle shaking it nonstop. I don't know how they managed to keep it together. Hilarious.
I had a neighbour who was the spitting image of the actress who played Onslow's wife. She lived alone in a farm as her husband had died and her son had also died in his twenties in a car accident. I think her daughter lived in the states. Sad she was all alone.
Omg. I used to watch this show as a kid & for 5+ years I have been looking through the enormous list of British comedy shows trying to find it with no luck. Literally 5 mins ago I seen a lady on a show by the name of Joan Plowright, (another hilarious actress), which I thought was Mrs. Daisy & that made me continue my investigation into finding this show again. I looked at the same list of 'top 100 British comedy shows' that I have previously searched before. I scrolled down a bit & the first show I clicked on, for whatever reason, was 'Keeping up with Appearances, & to my amazement I finally found it after years of searching. I know this was a pointless rant but I am ecstatic to have finally found one of the funniest TV shows of the 90's imo. Anyone that enjoys this show knows what I mean.
My favorite British show! Also liked Waiting to Be Served and As Time Goes By. My twin sister and I would watch Keeping Up Appearances with our grandmother when we were young. I literally know every episode and I never tire of it!!!
@Andrea Puri OK. I am British, was born and live in England, I'm 36 and unfortunately for some reason you been left with a very, very narrow minded view. The vast, vast majority of British people are good, decent people - really. There are problems around, what place doesn't? The traits you mention do exist buy certainly aren't the majority, far from it.
This reminds of holidays with my mates back in the day.. This was part of the entertainment package on the Britannia flights... good times... no responsibilities!!!. Just freedom and messing about😂😂😂
By the way, this show is so loved all over the world, that when Netflix messed up one of the episodes' synopses, people got verbal about it online (but of course, Netflix never repairs their mistakes). If I remember correctly, one of the early episodes described Elizabeth as married to Emmett. If I'm wrong, it's similar to that error. It's funny because randomly one day KUA came into discussion with my sister. One of us pointed out that a description was wrong and the other instantly knew which episode it was... and we don't watch TV together and have mostly dissimilar viewing habits.
Apparently in real life, Patricia Routledge was never married, no kids, and uses/used Public Transport in London. Brilliant actress in the role, and a great British Comedy Show all - round. Here in Melbourne, Australia, where the show was extremely popular, the British Comedies I've seen over the years include Allo Allo, Keeping Up Appearances, Are You Being Served (original British, then later Australian, versions), The Benny Hill Show. All of these shows had one thing in common as to why they were/are so funny: simple scripts, good actors/actresses, the typically British "ad lib" and the ability for everyone to have some good, clean fun. Oddly, the same applies with Australian Comedies too. Brilliant Comedy Show and these Outtakes make it even funnier 👍👍👍👍😄😄🤣🤣😁
I have just invented the outdoors indoors luxury barbecue. Are you sure that this is him ? He looks very suitable for my outdoors indoors luxury barbecue with finger buffet.
I'll bet the "Outdoors/Indoors Luxury BBQ" as well as the "Waterside Supper with Riparian Entertainments" ideas have been repeated all over the globe many times since these episodes.
