Tony, as someone who was not a fan of the LS50. I thought the METAs sounded night and day better. Still would use a sub as they are not 3 way.

@@LennyFlorentine I have 75ft2 room / 7m2, i've been also thinking LS50 Meta,R3 or something else. What do you think which one would fit or any suggestions? Currently Rocking with USB from PC -> Hegel HD25 -> Trigon Energy and speakers are Epos elan15. I do wish to have something that work also nearfield with decent bass in 75ft2 room.

I'm unable to test any speakers currently so i've decided to stay in "something bigger" instead of LS50/meta since Epos elan 15 is quite large speaker. Currently i'm considering "Triangle Esprit Cométe ez" or Kef R3. Much appriciated anyways and great video btw.

Does the rear absorption technology make them better suited if you want to place them in an enclosure? Specifically, I have some custom walnut furniture in my living room, that has slats at the front and is approx 18W X 10H X 12D.

Could you help me with and advice? I have a Parasound combo 200Pre/NC275v2, and I just don't know if the power is enough for this speakers, well actually, by the specs and my listening room I asume that will be OK but I have read a lot of commentaries emphasizing that you need a "lot" of power to make the LS50Meta´s sing. I can hear the combo in any store here in my country, so, if a pull a blind bind I will be making a mistake with my Parasound combo? Thanks

Hiya, I saw the review on the Yamaha AS2100/AS2200 and wondered how they work together? For example I tried the LS50's on a Roksan and they sounded flat.

The LS50s sound really great with the hint 6, gives them some warmth. Yamaha will also sound great but is a little cooler, with an airly live feel. The cd 2100 and the as 2200 is a great combo but definitely cool and airy.

@@LennyFlorentine hiya. Thanks for the reply. But what do you mean by cool and airy? Do you mean cold and metallic? I'm currently running the Yamaha on klipsch rb 81 mrk 2 and I've been considering these or the KEF R5s too but I haven't gotten to hear those yet.

@@booradley3146 yeah eh not really, they just sound more live not cold and metallic (i would say that about the a-s801). The KEF R series is great, one of our favorite speakers is the R11 we have them in our shop.

This is certainly not accurate. There is no big difference between the old and the new version. Not worth the upgrade, as confirmed in many comparisons.

U can make a 5" speaker perfect ...but it's still a 5" speaker.... And that means limited dynamic range.....will always sound small ..... I can see a lot of people bieng disappointed
