So pleased to see they managed to clear the debris & clean up after the storm. Argostoli harbour & marina looked great & the views, very picturesque. It's so lovely to see turtles there. Great seneic views on the mountain Road - or what's left of it!!! Sad, quite some damage left behind by the storm! Free coffee was generous, how kind, especially as financially they must be struggling ! Myrtos Bay is SO beautiful - certainly the calm after the storm! That sea I recall, has very powerful waves & their may not be SO many shades of turquoise as I've seen, but it is still a stunningly beautiful bay! Really enjoyed the video & looking forward to seeing Assos & Fiscado!
Wow all of those sea turtles were incredible I would love to see that in person. And too funny that there's a famous turtle that everyone knows. It was so nice of that lady to give you free coffee that would make my day too. My husband would be stopping at that bakery too. The views of that beach are incredible.
Rush hour in Kefalonia 😆 It was so cool to see all the turtles. While we have seen many turtles, I dont think we have seen a turtle fight before! The bakery you stopped by had soo many options, no wonder the locals go there 😊 Seeing the roads after the hurricane was very interesting, so glad you were able to get to the Myrtos Bay overlook, the color of the water is incredible!
We have been to Kefalonia 4 times. Taking our Grandkids there in 2022. My Granddaughter can't wait to see the Turtles. Congratulations on your marriage 💑
That’s so lovely that you’re taking the grandkids, the turtles really do give Argostoli some extra personality. We loved them, sure the grandkids will too! 😊
Ah the views driving to Agostoli were beautiful. I love the I ❤️ Kefalonia, its so pretty and definitely a great Instagram picture moment Wow the marina is so pretty, seeing the turtles were so so so beautiful! So crazy they have numbers and names, so unique. Sucks you could not take the ocean route but it was still a pretty drive. Yay for free coffee that's so awesome, there are still great people out in the world. Mytros bay looks absolutely stunning - wow! The drone footage gave it so much justice.
Well done (again) you two have really captured the natural beauty of the place. The way you two present the place it will be a must-see for me once the world had returned to near normal again and we can travel once again.
It was pretty precarious seeing all the rocks/landslides down there too from the hurricane, if it’s closed/not safe to drive we weren’t sure we wanted to be going down thereon foot either😅😬
Who doesn't love a free breakfast? I love the sea turtles! That's great that the turtles are monitored by the sanctuary. I snorkeled with sea turtles in Hawaii and they are such amazing creatures. Wow Myrtos Beach Viewpoint is gorgeous...the water IS electric blue. That is a very long trek down to the beach...the drone footage you captured is incredible!

The turtles in Argostoli are definitely a highlight, everytime we went into Argostoli we always saw at least one turtle in the bay☺️🐢 Myrtos is a stunning beach! 😍

The titles looked so playful :) lived the first bakery looked very clean and like so many options. Also the yellow cottage shop looked like a place we would want to stop by and hang out in. Thanks for showing us the rosario on the map, so helpful to have a better understanding of geography of the island.
This was amazing.arrived in lourdas sept 2021 for 4 weeks same day as the storm one year on.we were so lucky weather wise.thank you.booked to go back already 😄
That beach had some dramatically insane colors when we visited the place recently. What was the drone law in Greece, as I was reading some info before our short last minute trip and decided not to take one with us as was not sure?
It’s so beautiful! The rules were pretty much the same as most places, register the drone and don’t fly it anywhere that they’re banned or over crowded places.
@@TideKnotTravellers okaay do you mean it just had to be registered (it is) back in UK, licence etc and that's it? Now I have to go to Kefalonia again, but with my drone this time 🤣.
Hey, can anyone suggest where to stay for a solo traveller please? Lourdas or Argostoli I've narrowed it down to. Just need a base or a few days. Thanks
Lourdas is lovely and peaceful with enough shops and a lovely beach but Argostoli has a lot of choice and is the capital of the island so it offers a more sociable scene. If you have time we'd recommend both we stayed in both and loved them.
