Daddy’s Favorite👍 Keith tasted, Daddy HARSPERBERBEREREREREER approved... edited for spelling, (thanx grace👍😁) Gosh, that really made SUCH a huge improvement I’d never have been able to live with myself if I hadn’t fixed it😰
the fact that they are pie people almost guarantees that their kid will only like cake bc they will be forced to eat pie all the time and rarely get cake and so they will associate cake with like being a luxury and a craving
I love cake and my daughter really doesn't, I never know what to do for her birthday as a cake alternative..her dad only likes fruit cakes like farmhouse, spotted dick (yes that's a real cake in the UK) and all those old people cakes - what is wrong with a nice Victoria sponge?!
Actually Ancient Egyptians did have pie 😂 "The Ancient Egyptians were the first to invent a dish close to what we know as a pie today. They had a honey filling covered in a crusty cake made from oats, wheat, rye or barley. A recipe for chicken pie was also discovered on a tablet carved prior to 2000 BC." From BBC bitesize
I was just about to comment roughly the same thing!! They were like the FIRST pies to be recorded too! the beginnings of pie haha! Than probably the Greeks after that who would use meat. So they quite literally had the best pies at like 1300 to 1200 B. C.!
Andrew I feel like she’s just trying to be as outgoing as Keith but just imitating him? Idk, she just comes off super like peppy I guess. Would prefer the other try guys, Jared popkins and Chris Reinacher
Keith : “When I was a kid, I used to mash up bananas, put in some milk, sugar and cinnamon and eat it” Also Keith: “I don’t understand why Becky’s family puts sugar on things that are already sweet”
I actually have dipped strawberries in sugar. Most of the time they just aren't sweet enough because I'm in Canada and unless it's June we have no local strawberries and imported ones are never ripe enough. The sugar makes them taste so much better.
According to google: “The Ancient Egyptians were the first to invent a dish close to what we know as a pie today. They had a honey filling covered in a crusty cake made from oats, wheat, rye or barley. A recipe for chicken pie was also discovered on a tablet carved prior to 2000 BC.”

Oh there are channels like that. A girl eats an ENTIRE cherry pie, with half a bottle of Redi-Whip. I just happened to see it after a hilarious commentary on things like that. She has hundreds of thousands of subscribers.
It's been nearly 3 years and still every day, I wake up thinking about "Graham Crapper" and then I laugh. I will never forget, Keith. Also, I will never forget Keith.
Just for Keith’s information: “The Ancient Egyptians were the first to invent a dish close to what we know as a pie today. They had a honey filling covered in a crusty cake made from oats, wheat, rye or barley.”
From google!: Pie has been around since the ancient Egyptians. ... The crust of the pie was referred to as "coffyn". There was actually more crust than filling. Often these pies were made using fowl and the legs were left to hang over the side of the dish and used as handles.
This isn't from ancient Egypt but I know in Medieval Europe, the crust on meat pies was typically just used as a container to deliver the filling and often thrown away.
I was so happy when he brought up the difference between a macaroon a coconut shaved chocolate ball and a macaron, a chewy sweet almond flour cookie with French butter cream separating the two cookies. There are no words to discover how happy my little baking heart was
Can we talk about how easily Keith picks up the song when it seems like he's never heard it before? Is that just me?? I think about this all the time????
@@prestonaldrich6982 sweet pies have been around since 12th century, while meat pies have been around since ancient Egypt, though it was invented by the romans. its unknown if the Ancient Egyptians ever had pie.
My fav pie is blackberry, specifically blackberries from the west side of Washington state that you pick yourself. That pie tastes so much better after you spend hours on the side of the highway in the sun getting covered in scratches to get enough blackberries to make only two pies. Fantastic.
Mother's favorite: Apple pie Daddy's favorite: Raisin bran If Daddy's favorite isn't working maybe mommy's favorite might win in the next without a recipe. 🤣
The strawberries and sugar thing that Becky was talking about is exactly the same thing I’ve done my whole life!! The strawberries are just too tart sometimes and need a little extra sweet!
I’m not a pie person, but if I was eating here, I think I’d do a pot pie, chocolate pie, and maybe the butterscotch, just because the owner was so sweet and excited about it.
@@SM-he5mk yesterday i went out to grab a pizza and the crust was so hard that i had to stab it a bunch with my fork to be able to cut it and then eat it
@@IAMDYLAN17 It's a legit thing though lmao. Cats will go nuts for stuff like pie or breads that shouldn't be refrigerated so you have to use either a breadbox or a microwave.
The thing I loved most was the part where keith and becky were talking about the pecan pie, and he said how they pronounce it differently. I just got so happy with the realisation of not having to argue about everything when you love and respect each other. Honestly that is love
When this episode started I thought it was going to be a total sellout because you were talking to the resto owner; I'm glad I was wrong. I love that you still have honest reviews. Thanks Keith
As a British with a dad who grew up in Australia. I can confirm that meat pies this side of the world are so different. Its more manufactured. I would love to try an Aussie meat pie, it sounds and looks so good 😍
