I just heard this piece for the first time today when Gary Burton played it on the vibes for a Loyola University jazz class I found on You Tube. Gary’s teaching skills blow me away but this piece sends me to a whole other dimension. It connects with the timeless greatness of music. Along with the jazz- you feel classical Chopin, rhythmic blues, the sweetest notes. It’s a masterpiece!💕🎶
Haha, that is the exact same reason I’m here! I was blown away by that Gary Burton masterclass. He has so much useful knowledge and explains music improv like no one else I’ve ever heard before :)

Thanks a lot for doing this, it looks great. I've listened to it a number of times, particularly because of the wonderful left hand groove, and of course his ability to play those incredible runs over the top of it but never lose the feel. Keith is the man
