Keith sings as soulfully with the guitar as he does with his voice. One of the best players in country. Though he’s got such a range of music, it would be hard to put him just in the country box. Really hope you’ll look at Keith and John Mayer playing “Till Summer Comes Around”.
"To Love Somebody" a brilliant tribute to the Bee Gees, in front of Barry Gibbs. It's on my Epic performances Playlist. 👋😎👍 He does a song with your boy Jimmy Barnes... it's really good...
Just think what you've been missing by not listening to Keith Urban's country rock hits all these years! He is a multiple grammy winner, an award winning singer & songwriter, best country rock guitarist and hitmaker! He really is unique and a uniquely talented musician in country rock! Glad u r converted now!!
I have seen Keith urban 7 times live in concert and he is an amazing performer and musician. He gives 150% every time. Just love him ❤ he sang flame trees at a gig and Jimmy Barnes joined him on stage and it was mind blowing
@@alancollins9767 is he? I’ve always heard Australian. Either way I’d love to see your reaction to the version of good Times that he did with Jimmy Barnes. Now there’s a guy who can sing.
When you spend a lot of time watching how Keith uses the guitar, you come to the realisation that the guitar for Keith, is an extension of his singing voice. Most people use the guitar to play music,. Keith uses it to exude many more layers of feeling to the song.
Keith played this at Rod Laver Arena Dec 2022, the hush, could have heard a pin drop when he sang gone, gone, gone.......digital does not do this song justice, have to see it live. come on back Keith to Melbourne. Booked this at the start of the pandemic, just finally attended.....worth the damn wait.
What I appreciate about your channel. Is you play all kinds of music. When you reach 78years, you learn to appreciate all genres. Kieth is an amazing guitarist. Love your reaction. Great Grandma 💕💕
I was not a huge Keith fan until I watched him love. He's AMAZING on the guitar! Watching him, I began to appreciate him. You may enjoy Little Big Town's Better Man.
Keith doesn't get enough credit for being a damn fine guitarist. Also, he's Australian, so that may account for his not having a more traditional country voice. Check out "Devil Went Down To Nashville if you want to see him light up a fretboard
While he is my favourite artist, and this is my favourite song of his, he didn't write this specific song, although he certainly made it his own, and the music is quite different to the original (by Sarah Buxton).
I remember seeing him around the studios in Sydney. He was great then. This is a perfect example of an amazing artist. He was great then and he keeps getting better 🦘🦘🥁
I'm country boy I listen to country music over about 29 years already, every country song has meaning to them, like Keith Urban "Stupid Boy" has meaning to it where we don't understand til we know more about it gotta love country music
😊 beautiful reaction. Just one suggestion. Try searching Keith Urban with either Jimmy Barnes or Guy Sebastian. Both helped me appreciate Keith's versatile singing skills.
Good review...Can't get enough of this one song because I've been a Stupid boy here and there, Mind you I'm a nice guy but I've made mistakes like he doesn't Mention in the song..anyways good channel btw I'm subscribing just because of this review
KEITH IS A COUNTRY-ROCK-POP MAESTRO! HE FOES HIS OWN THING!! DON'T BOX HIM AND HIS MUSIC.. BIG MISTAKE! HE IS UNIQUE AN ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS MUSICIAN, SONGWRITER PRODUCER AND COLLABS WITH MANY DIFF GENRE ARTISTS FROM RAPPERS TO POPS!! HE IS BRILLIANT 🎉🎉
It’s amusing when you justify liking a country song. I used to declare that I don’t like country until I really gave it a chance. Now I don’t like reggae or rap but I’m always investigating different artists.
Keith has a different take on country. Yes, it's country but with a bit of a twist. He's super talented, I never pass up his songs! Superb guitarist and has nice vocals!!
I can't remember if you reacted to it but Home Free did a cover of his "Blue Ain't Your Color" and Keith's version is very soulful while Home Free 's is more like the Temptations....
I’m a little late to the party here but yes Keith urban is a super talented musician and not your typical “country” singer. I love country music personally and I love Keith music but I’d say he fits more into the 2000’s pop/alternative genre. Maybe I’m wrong. Also, you have a beautiful vibrato to your voice. Not sure if you’re a singer or have ever considered it but you my friend may have a great singing voice.
One of my fav performances of Keith's was at the Aria's with John Butler singing "Funky Tonight". ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BDFMaSMr5YA.html
Keith is an American for several years. But he was born in NZ and grew up in AU. He has lived here in Nashville for over 30 years. The guy that you asked "Who is that" is his bass player, Jerry Flowers.
@@brigittekenny6599 Keith became a naturalized American several years ago. I know all about his history. I have known him for 20 years. He IS an American now.
Gotta step out of that “hate country” box in order to actually find something you like, your blinding yourself from finding artists you like just from your own bias, there’s many artists that aren’t radio country that sound amazing, you just have to do the work
