Keke is one of THE MOST underrated female singers of all time. She and Jasmine Sullivan should be ranked higher than alot of these so called "super stars" out here.

You can use Miss if you choose but I chose to show some respect to Ms. Patti. This is positive place don't bring that negative energy my way.

Once Ms. is used to address said woman, they'll usually correct you if it's Mrs., or they'll simply say you can use their first name. However, we know who Patti Labelle is, and it's her unmarried stage name, so it would be Miss in this case. You only use Ms.--pronounced Mizz--as a title of respect when you don't know the marital status of said woman. Ms.Pat has a whole TV show where it's used incorrectly. Does she know it? So many people don't know the difference.
You wouldn't understand, when we use it, it's black slang not to be taken in a bad way and when you're called that by someone that's smiling the whole time they actually like you. She never made it big because she stabbed her ex husband and a lot of people who have worked with her have said she’s an extremely difficult person to work with. Nobody wanted to work with a violent chick with an attitude. Her voice is out of this world but you can’t act like that and expect to make it big She also had stupid people behind her. Her record labels and management failed her big time by not linking her up with good producers, she has one of the best voices and they were giving her generic ass songs for most of her career
