Kelli O'Hara, Patrick Wilson, Aasif Mandvi, and Stephanie J. Block star in the Encores! concert staging of Lerner and Loewe's Brigadoon. Like the Scottish village of the show's title, the production will live only briefly, with five performances, November 16-19, following a November 15 performance as part of New York City Center's annual gala. But the show's stars, with Robbie Fairchild and more among them, will live on in this footage from a magical dress rehearsal.

Wow! I had no idea that even this little bit existed on video. Kelli and Patrick sing my absolute favorite version of this glorious score. The entire video should be released. I'd pay anything to see it.

They have, and it's a masterpiece! Lerner & Loewe's Brigadoon (New York City Center 2017 Cast Recording) can be found on Amazon Music (free with Amazon Prime).

You should also check out Patrick in the role of Sky Masterson in "Guys and Dolls", Carnegie Hall performance I think, with Sierra Boggess. His "Luck Be A Lady" is fantastic, with a killer high note to top it off. Choice!

Patrick Wilson is out of costume. Did he take over the role of man when singing "Almost Like Being In Love". It's like he was noticed in the audience, and they asked him up on stage. What a divine voice! Patrick kisses her at the end like he means it!

His ‘costume’ is a modern (circa 1947) traveler in the highlands on a shooting vacation. He would be wearing ‘modern’ clothes. So no, he was pulled from the audience but was planned as a cast member.

Strong over-emphasis on dance in this production. Musical theater needs balance. Brigadoon is not a ballet!

Great Ballet. But no self-respecting Scot would show his 'family jewels' in such dances. Historically inappropriate.
