The actors should start a business that will help actors transition into other businesses. They can even start their own businesses and keep security around to keep them safe.
They are a good example of why black actors need to collaborate and produce themselves. Create content that is relevant to black people because we will watch it. Also Europe, Asia and Africa love our stories and lifestyle. I miss seeing all of them on the tube and wish someone could have kept them relevant.....
For some reason when black actors play in sitcoms they become type casted or dnt get many roles after the show is done unlike their white counterparts. I love Jennifer Aniston she’s a prime example how friends sky rocketed her career, but what about the actors of the Cosby show! Or the ladies of Girlfriends and Bernie Mac show. Seems like they would have had more success turning these shows down and just grinding out the mud bc now all they have is to say “ I used to be on that show” or just known for playing that role. It’s sucks and isn’t fair. Everyone has a choice in making decisions but when bills are due every month it’s easy to start a OF and make quick money especially if folk’s willing to subscribe!
The thing is most actors aren't known or remembered for anything. So when I see people say if I hadn't done this show I wouldn't have been type cast and I would have had more future opportunities I never believe it. The truth is you probably wouldn't have had more opportunities, you would most likely struggle like the vast majority of actors do, and not be known for anything.
