Brandy and Countess both agreed it was beef and a legitimate one. Countess knew she was super talented and really couldn't stand that she was the sidekick friend. She felt she had more acting chops when it came to Brandy. Countess also was a singer and felt some type of way about Brandy's vocal talent. I believe Countess felt Brandy got more because of her looks where Countess didn't have the look to be a singer and actress on the level Brandy did. This was a known rivalry with them for years due to this.

There’s been times I’ve spoken to someone & they looked right past me or gave me a “cold” response & I was offended by it but when I told the person later, most all apologized & said they didn’t remember me speaking because their head was somewhere else. People are dealing with a lot of things stress, grief etc. Most of the things we think are personal aren’t personal. Could it have been something that she felt personally possibly but we don’t know what if that’s the case so it doesn’t make her wrong. She was a teen at the time in the vicious music industry, so who knows what was going on through her head at that time. Teens can be funny acting sometimes because they’re going through hormonal changes. People grow & change. Throughout Aaliyah’s life , most people spoke very highly of her personality.
