Her latest album is very soulful tho. Very 60s motown rhythm and blues. You guys should check it out. It had some big mariah-esque songs in there. Her best album so far because it showcased her vocals.

I disagree with your thoughts on "Stronger", I'm sorry. For me, that's a very powerful song. Everytime I listen to it I get goose bumps! That's like my FIGHT SONG! I get so motivated everytime I hear and sing it. I'm an introvert person and "It doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone". I'm teary eyed while writing this comment.

Kelly was brought up in musical theater, hence why she has good technique and supports a majority of her upper belts. Christina has no sense of technique and doesn’t have anything on Kelly vocally.

Christina has never cared of technique vocally? Kelly slays christina high belts naturally, since kelly is a soprano while xtina is a mezzo. But christina does better lows, runs, mid belts, and she can play kelly around when it comes to hv and falsettos. There’s a reason why christina has influenced more artist and generally known as the best vocalist in her generation hon.

xMantra Ns The mid-belts still go to Kelly as they’re much more resonant and overall well rounded. Christina’s mid-belts on the other hand are just a complete horror fest. Kelly’s hv/falsetto is also way more developed than Christina’s. The only thing that Christina has the upper hand on is her agility as she creates far more complex runs than Kelly. Lastly, popularity and being more well-known is irrelevant to the conversation of the two’s voices...

Lance Contreras actually christina can make her mid belts resonance but she pushes it to create impact it’s a stylistic choice on her part. And no hon kelly will not win in a falsetto and hv battle against christina she’s one of the best at it. Kelly hasn’t even done the eb6 note on love so soft on big events caause shes scared of doing them she only did it on carpool cause she can easily retake it. Meanwhile christina easily goes up to g6 live and eb6 is normal for her everyday anything above 6th octave notes on hv and falsettos christina destroys kelly

You guys have to check out Kelly’s latest album, Meaning of Life! It is exactly the type of music you’re wanting from her - and it’s the type of music she has always wanted to make but hasn’t gotten to until switching labels. RCA kept her in a pop rock lane and punished her any time she tried to step outside it, but Atlantic is letting her embrace this whole soulful, urban, Motown sound on her new album! Her old label RCA made her do what music she had after her first album. I’ve never like her pop rock albums, but the new album is on fire. She admitted this on an interview that her label actually doesn’t want her to do R&B/soul that she wants to do. Thank God she’s out of the RCA contract, Atlantic is doing very good to her, but it needed more promotion to her album seriously.

Her past label RCA led her to do pop/poprock albums. Kelly Clarkson admittedly said that she was being dictated in what she will do on her album. But the current album is from Atlantic Records, which she said her footprint album finally after 15 years. Thankful is her 1st album after American Idol, then they put her on the pop rock side, because she said the label(RCA) doesn’t want her to do R&B as it is already filled by another artists(don’t know who at that time). You should watch her music video ‘I Don’t Think About You’ it will show the story from her old label that tied her for 15 years.

she also lost weight due to a thyroid problem that she made a choice to eat healthier in order to control her weight. I think she may have had a hypothyroid problem which is why she always had trouble losing weight but so easy to gain it.

Kelly is very passionate as well but she has much better technique and ease on her belts. Christina singing a C5 looks like Kelly singing a G5. But Kelly is also more quiet emotion. its not flashy. xMantra Ns Christina doesn’t even use HV. It’s all falsetto. That’s the only thing she would have over KC is a more developed falsetto. Kelly on the other hand can sing in both head and falsetto depending on her stylistic choices. And no, xtina’s mid belts are not more power as they are not even free enough and improperly placed to create any resonance. Hence why cribs is half screaming all her belts. Compare Xtina with other mezzo like Barbara she gets demolished. The closest thing to a neutral placement Xtina gets is nothing higher than an A4. Bb4 in her IWALY are all placed in her throat with ugly uneven vibrato. Only a handful of times has she even able to apply vibrato to her C5

Absolutely dying waiting for her new album. But she is taking the summer to be with her children. Which is very admirable. But she literally just can sing anything and as you pointed out people like Mariah and Christina and even Ariana they have to push it's work especially when they move into super low registers or super high none of it seems any different with Kelly. She could be in the bottom of her low register which is extremely low for a soprano and then she can be in whistle-tone with absolutely no effort. You want to see your mind blown watch her sing the song with Josh Groban from his Christmas special towards the end when they both turn facing forward she sings three full words and whistle-tone with proper diction never heard of.

she has 2 kids of her own and 2 step kids with brandon, and her thyroid was out of whack - it's under control now with the help of plant paradox..she's a great person...and this last album was soulful, r&b. you two are good, but when it comes to kelly...you need to get in the know with her....thank you...and dude...i love ur glasses, and they way you sit-dance.

You're right .... "So This Is Love" is not a nursery rhyme. It is, however, a Disney song. Dumbo's mother sings this lullaby to him. I'd also like to note that her newest album "Meaning of Life", which is R&B heavy, is Kelly's true sound. Her past in Pop & Country were because of her contract requirements following American Idol. She has said many times that she hated most of the music she was forced to put out. She wrote 95% of the songs on her newest album, which is the FIRST one out from under a record company's contract. Another great song from this current era is Meaning of Life and she has two very different but equally stunning live performances of this. You need to listen to her new album. It is awesome! She has 4 kid. 2 from her hubby's previous relationship and 2 of their own. River and Remington I believe. She had them pretty close together so might explain her full figure for the last few years. She has always looked great but she said in an interview that she is losing weight to be healthy of course but main reason was so she would have the stamina to chase her kids lol
