She’s what the show was all about, an American Idol. It was her dream, her journey, her win, that made the suceeding seasons possible and made more people dream bigger. She’s a legend.
A true rags to riches story which defied cynics. Music industry A & Rs dismissed show as a gimmick & prob even AI producers set low expectations. But greatness rises to the top. She was ready for the spotlight. The best is yet to come.
She not only changed her life on that audition day, she also completely legitimized the show. She showed the world the spark of what “could be” for anyone that has faith and dares to try.
I watched her win in a hospital bed while doctors told me I was dying from AIDS. I’m still alive and healthy and her career is too. Thank you Kelly for giving me hope. Singing that song gave me hope and my life ❤
@@TheMotherofTacos I would hardly call it a "huge" controversy. The item should have been offered to the Jane Austen Museum without ever being sold at auction (in the first place). That said, Kelly readily and graciously gave up the ring simply recouping the auction price she paid. “The ring is a beautiful national treasure and I am happy to know that so many Jane Austen fans will get to see it at Jane Austen’s House Museum,” she said.
@@TheMotherofTacosso she legitimately and legally bought something that was owned once by someone famous? Good thing no one knows about the second hand lamp I bought from a garage sale.
@@tomaszwota1465 What do you mean you don't know who she is Kelly Clarkson lmaooo 😅😊 it's still the same person she was several years ago unless your not a fan or didn't watch American idol back in the day I guess 😮😢
I love Kelly Clarkson. She's very beautiful and gorgeous and a very amazing mom. My hat comes off to you. May God always bless you 🙏 always and your family as well
Amazing. To reach that level of greatness so much so that she gets to casually sit next to the people that helped changed her life is nothing but amazing.
omg crazy we have the same name and i have so many memories of cheering her on during american idol when i was little ! my mom ended up winning tickets to her concert when i was 6 and i yelled out her name and she waved right at me omg made me so happy
I remember the good old days of American Idol. She's gotten so successful. It's awesome to see someone from that show make it so far and big. Good for her!
I was about 9 when I watched Kelly and I absolutely believe she set the tone for all of the following seasons and was the absolute best season yet. I remember my whole family gathering to watch her and vote for Kelly Clarkson. She always has been and will always be my idol.❤
When you couldn't wait for the next show each week, you heard that intro music and everyone ran to the living room. The audience at home got to participate. We voted for Kelly, and we still love her. ❤️
@@lanzwildheart4878 Carrie Underwoods net worth is 140 million. Kelly Clarksons net worth is 45 million. Not my opinion those are the facts! I personally like Kelly Clarkson more but facts are facts!
@@tinadumaguing9679 but you could also say Kelly is more successful because she has more #1s. She’s the only American Idol to achieve over 100. And she did it in 2017 or 2018
@@tinadumaguing9679 Carrie has sold 70 million records WW not 140m Also, Kelly has a better PLT/GLD album ratio than Carrie. Of 9 albums each, Carrie has 5 (4 plt x 1 gld) and Kelly has 8 (5 plt x 3).
She was AMAZING..... AND her song is so iconic.... One of the greatest ballads EVER.... NOT JUST OF HER GENERATION.... Name me one that's BETTER.... I'll wait
She is the epitome of an amazingly, beautiful woman, mother, singer, coach, human. Even through adversity she's shown she's human and makes no apologies for it, and falls down and gets the hell back up with a song and a smile. Inspirational for ALL girls and women.
I Agree Now, even though back then I was Rooting for Nikki McKibbon. I am from the DFW Metro Area. There was literally a Voting War Going On In The Garland Area where Kelly is from & The Grand Prairie & Arlington Area's where Nikki is from. Nikki was friends with my baby sister when they were about 12 or 13 years old so of course my family Supported her through the whole Journey! My Sister Went with her to American Idol Auditions. Nikki tried to get her to Audition too but she wouldn't do it. I used to 💜 to sit and listen to the 2 of them sing their hearts out. RIP Nikki!
She was the exact embodiment of what they were looking for. She was cute, and unknown, and likeable, and technically a GREAT singer, and real, and humble, and properly starstruck by the experience, but completely capable of becoming an absolute IDOL. And she did. Her reaction when she won was EVERYTHING, I’ll never forget it. She sang A Moment Like This (perfect song written for whoever won) like a boss, through her tears of joy. It was like the end of a movie! They struck gold when Kelly showed up to audition. They should give her a percentage of every dollar that show makes.
Kelly and Carrie underwood are the biggest stars that won. Then there’s Jennifer Hudson who didn’t win but still became an A list star and an Oscar winner.
I remember it. I rooted for kelly throughout the first show. Her winning felt so awesome because it felt like our dreams were actually achievable. If she could do it then anyone could. I miss that time.
Watching her sing her song "a moment like this" while tearing up, and the song being so very relevant to that actual moment was such a beautiful thing to witness. I still look it up on youtube every once in a while to see it again.
He is 100% right, Kelly! I love your humbleness. It is always refreshing to see. You’re one of those people who can make someone laugh no matter what the situation is. And your voice is definitely from above! It’s crazy to see how Simon has softened since he became a father. Children change lives in the most wonderful ways!
And the program would never have worked so well. There has never been a winner or participant in any talent show that has worked out as well as Kelly Clarkson. She's the ultimate role model.
