Kelly Clarkson on Australian TV comedy show 15+ "Kelly Clips" - She is awesome and so funny! Good News Week TV Host: Paul McDermott Website and full video: ten.com.au/video.htm 1st June 2009 Network 10, Australia
OMG i just couldn't stop smiling! Kellly is so adorable - and funny! love her.. You can tell she is nervous because she is touching her hair all the time. So cute :)
naww I remember first watching this on tv and being surprised by how sweet she was :) oh and i have such a crush on wil anderson ... and paul of course =P
I actually think Kelly may have felt some affection for Wil she came close or touched him frequently. She's the sort of artist who makes me smile, her ROCKIN' performance with Melissa Etheridge on DIVAS 2009 was brilliant - KC is built for Rock music.
Being a celebrity does not remove her right to dress however she damn well pleases. Perhaps you need to read the US Constitution. She didn't sign a contract when she became famous that she would always dress like a celebrity. Her being like the rest of us and not some unattainable star is one of the reasons she was voted for on Idol and it's worked pretty well for her so far. She is who she is and won't change herself - and her fans love that.
"It's her job as a superstar to look good"? No. It's her job to write, sing and perform, and she does it pretty damn well. The rest is irrelevant, though for what it's worth, I think she looks perfectly fine, and so do plenty of other people.
I think you might have actually ment Mikey Robins, but nevermind. Mikey's older than Paul but still, no old man, lol. Kelly was been extremely cute that night in an embarrassed, giggley, taken with Wil, kinda way.
If that's true, then those people are pathetic. And 'ugly' and 'dress like crap' are extremely subjective terms. As I said, I think she looks fine. She is what seems to be a normal weight, and therefore at no greater risk for diabetes or heart disease than anyone else. Have you considered that she is happy how she is? That having her career at the level you describe (and the sacrifices that entails) is not what she wants?
You know, resorting to name-calling is pretty childish. Yes, I was a fan of Breakaway. But as I have explained, it wasn't because she looked good. It was because I like the music, and I like her. Caring about physical appearance is not shallow. Caring about it more than anything else (as your postings make it clear that you do) makes you shallow. It has no bearing on how good her singing, songwriting or performing is.
@jhankins721 I find that I don't like her songs. I really don't like her lyrics alot of the time. but I DO THINK she can sing. I think that the judges where right. ... did she win or come second? (I don't really remember...)
She would sell more if she did fit a more traditional pop-star image - which is to say, style over substance. But the day she does that is the day she loses me as a fan, and I am certainly not alone in that. Not that I'll ever have to worry about it, because she is admirably self-confident in the face of relentless criticism from shallow people like you.
Unless you're there when she weighs herself then you have no earthly idea whether she's a healthy weight or not - and yes, you are exaggerrating. I've seen the Much Music Video Awards. She did not look fat. Clearly you have not listened to All I Ever Wanted if you think it's a 'copycat album' of Breakaway. Where is Breakaway's Whyyawannabringmedown? If I Can't Have You? What about it's I Want You? CD sales have dropped significantly since Breakaway was released, which is clearly a factor.
I believe that's an exaggeration of my behaviour, but I really couldn't care less what you think of me. Yes, there is a double standard for women in the entertainment industry. But there shouldn't be, and the views you're displaying perpetuate it. Regardless, I can see I'm not going to persuade you. Peace.
