Great work on tracking the locations. The minefield in the movie, or a piece of it that is show on 3:44, was my grandfathers. At the time of the filming he got some money for the usage in the scene. It's located in the village of Mocibobi, town of Karojba, Istria, Croatia.
Banl location is in a place called vižinada.. field of landmines is near a place called Karojba, they are also going thru a village called ritošin brig... All this places are located in istria (croatia) I know becouse i live near this places
Well they had to get people into the theatres and his character helped achieve that. It was historically wrong as well as a few other things also were, but even so the cast had great dialogue and one-liners. As it is a movie focusing on comedy not historical accuracy I am quick forgive them.
