I'm sorry AA didn't work for you or your loved one. Maybe you/they went to the wrong meetings or weren't ready. I'm an atheist and I still go and it's helped me stay sober and change my life for the better and be happy. It's worked for lots of people. People go to stay sober. Nothing more nothing less. Anything else is a bonus.

I recently worked in the Hudson River Valley near West Point and am still enchanted and fascinated with that area. You can live in Cold Spring, NY, a town of less than 2000 people but still hop on a train and in 75 minutes you are in mid-town Manhattan. Literally live in a town of 2000 people out in the country and still work in the world's financial center. I mean how freaking cool is that?

A show that really hit for all ages too which is OBV very rare but I am now 30 and I remember being 15 years old watching the show with my 40 year old parents. Is the reboot still coming?!?!

What should make you sick is the loss of the farms that once thrived here. Kelseys' farm was once a thriving beef, dairy and cauliflower farm employing dozens of local and migrant workers, mostly from the south. In the New Kingston valley, just beyond this location there was once 135 family farms. Today there are two, run by perhaps the last of many generations of the same family running these farms. In the early 1900's the area enjoyed it's proximity to the Borscht belt, many large hotels and retreats for NYC elite were scattered around the area. It is now one of the poorest areas in the state, while beauty and magic abounds in the hills, jobs to not. Today NYC has bought up all the old farms and much of the land to protect it's watershed. Some of the most pristine water you will find runs from here to NYC taps unfiltered. Much of the privately owned real estate is second-home owners who a part-time residents. I pine for the times of my youth, and wish more could be done to revive this area.

Maybe get your facts straight before condemning a man: His father was murdered in front of him at a very young age, his sister was raped and murdered, his brothers were killed in a scuba diving accident, his ex wife suffered a miscarriage that led to them divorcing, he suffered physical and emotional abuse from two of his ex-wives, and he has struggled with addiction most of his adult life because of all of it. So to be the success that he is might be a damn miracle, most people would’ve emotionally caved after their first tragedy, but I’m thinking you wouldn’t understand that kind of struggle. No, I’m gonna guess you’re in your mid-twenties, a far left feminist, and you think men only want you for your looks wah (basically you’re a cliche).
