@@ToneJunkieTV if im on any profile if I bring in any pre stomps or post fx are those from the profile itself that the authors developed? for example if I bring in DLY on a new profile is that my DLY settings or is that the delay that the author edited for the profile? thanks

Jeff Lee - something worth mentioning. You can also save and name your stomps as a preset in the stomps section. this way you can save numerous combinations of fx and bring them up instantly for different profiles. The way to do this is to hold down the STOMPS button (in this screen you can also easily rearrange the order of your fx) and press store. you will then have a "STOMPS section" option press that button and name and save your preset, done. The way to recall this preset is to again HOLD the STOMPS button, and while in this screen turn the browse knob. you will see any saved STOMPS presets. This same process works for the EFFECTS section. This is a HUGE time saver. Hope that is helpful to people Cheers

A great tutorial would be how you input the kemper to the DAW as it’s sometimes a mind field to newbies (I have reaper and a scarlet 18i8). It took me a while to get it sorted.
@ZachSmithMusic93
@ZachSmithMusic93 2 года назад
Simple. I literally just treat the XLR outs as mic outs. those go into my UA Volt, little of the on board compression, into in my case FL Studio, I select the Inputs for my Audio Interface, add some post EQ, sometimes a little extra compression and BOOM all done. Ready to jam to songs, record, be creative, whatever you desire.

so where is the Kemper output going?.....into a PA system in your room?.....what amp is finally driving your speakers in that room?.....does the Kemper infact contain it's own output amp?....Line level?
@ToneJunkieTV
@ToneJunkieTV 5 лет назад
You are hearing the direct output from the kemper,. Powered Kempers contain power amps that can run guitar cabinets as well as the ability of all kempers to send its signal FOH. The output you send is variable so line level is possible.

How come you load a profile and BOOM , Amazing sound regardless ? , Ive downloaded your free pack and have over 360 rigs in the kemper stage I’ve just bought, every single one sounds awful , the only ones that sound fab are the ones I’ve built up from scratch , I’m clearly missing something, , seems you have to choose , amp, cab , separately , then mix a rig with effects to get any kind of result ! Not one video on RU-vid explains HOW to build a great tone ! , all you guys do is talk forever , select a tone and boom ! play ! , I’m really regretting buying this kemper stage , it can’t come close to any of my tube Amos with just a TS9 and a delay ! , but you guys get great tones , mine doesn’t , it’s beyond awful at the moment ! Still,searching for a video on RU-vid that actually shows me how to use this .

This may sound like a stupid question, but what else do I need besides the Kemper unit itself? I want to use this for practice mostly and have been using modeling amps since I started, I don't need ground shaking power but i would like to be able to crank it if I want. Do I need something like a headrush 2000 watt speaker to plug it into as well or at least some headphones to use the Kemper?

NewbieSetup Question : Do you need to buy a load box /cab emulator like the Two Notes Torpedo to play this thing live without a DAW? Or is the standard way to plug the line out to a Scarlett I/F for example, use a DAW and use a cab IR plugin of some sort just to be able to play live?

Dude, I can't thank you enough for this video! I've had my Kemper Toaster for 3 days (32 hours of that, just playing with it!), and the "kraftwerken" manual made no mention of "how to get to these parameters" (e.g. Sag...) which was the main reason I bought this. I don't learn well from videos (I'm a Technical Writer in my "day job", and as a Austrian, I recognize the "kraftwerken" mindset when I encounter it!), but by listening to you a couple of times, and then really eyeing the camera shots, I've found the mysteries I sought. Thanks again for the time and effort in creating this - it is much appreciated!
@mickdebergerac1143
@mickdebergerac1143 5 лет назад
You are exactly right saying we have never heard the actual amp sounds that we love because of the processing after them. Drums are even more processed than guitars. Modelling should have been the next evolution, but the Kemper is the real deal evolution. Personally, I would just buy profiles from the pro's. They KNOW how to mic up, use the BEST equipment and you are pretty much guaranteed to get a very convincing sounding amp, cab, effect etc. You will never need more than a dozen or so variations, but if you want to store 500, go ahead. The only Thing I am a peeved about with the Kemper is the cost of the dedicated foot board. You need this to access a lot of features, the looper to name a major one. But take a gamble, with this guy showing you the best way to get set up, you'll be leaving your big rigs at home and selling the van!!!

You don't have to use a mic with the Kemper, since firmware v3 you can tap off the direct amp sound from the speaker cable using a DI Box, Kemper make one of these units precisely for this purpose shop.kempermusic.us/profiler-di-box.html, this 'direct' profile still behaves correctly in the sense that the impedance curve of an amp driving a speaker is captured, but no speaker tone is captured, these profiles sound fantastic if you want to drive a guitar cab directly from the Kemper, they sound much closer to using a tube amp in the room, they sound a lot better than turning off the cab on the kemper using a mic'ed up profile, And it gets even better than that, you can create a 'merged' profile of an amp by using a mic'ed profile and also a DI profile, so that when you turn off the cab on the Kemper you get the genuine DI profile sound ,not the pseudo cab removal algorithm, how cool is that! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ff5Zx10S1Ao.html you don't have to use the Kemper DI box there are lots of others that will work using a speaker line level signal

I gotta say: today I got hold of an Orange Pedal Baby and plugged my Mesa 2x12 and Kemper into it and it just knocks the Kemper into the stratosphere. Forget FRFR cabs. When you're playing a Kemper through a real cab, amps become completely redundant. It doesn't sound liked a miced-up amp: it just sounds like an amp.

Did you get one? I've been considering one for a while. My concern is that every time I invest in the latest tech, it goes obsolete, and ends up in my closet. My other concern is how repairable it is, and how long they will be manufacturing parts. I have some really nice tube amps. I would only get a Kemper for versatility on the fly. Being able to switch sounds quickly.

21:00 In the case of players like Hendrix, what he played in the studio was for the tone - the recorded tone - and could well be nothing like what he played on stage - which was for projection and volume. Also, if Hendrix WAS using a cranked Marshall in the room in those days, the engineers would have been in 'survival' mode for their equipment and putting all sorts of compression and mike techniques to stop the sheer monstrous volume destroying the equipment. So the recorded tone would have been very mild compared to what they were hearing standing besides the amp in those circumstances..
