Hey Bart, I reaaly am pleased by mainly two sthings here. First you have put on a lifejacket; great role modelling there. Then you keep use the reason for uogrades to that your wife shall enjoy boating more easily.. :-) I do the same so you know and it works! Cheers from Sweden!

Hi Christian, sorry for the late reply but yes, it's always good to wear a life vest, especially when walking around. I must admit that it's tempting to do without as we have no current, hardly any professional boat traffic, fresh water, sheltered and protected. But still, I have seen cases where a life vest turned out to be a life saver. And Sweden, I have good memories from Sweden having been the dealer for Storebro boats for many years, still love your country! Enjoying boating, warm regards from The Netherlands! Bart

I hope this isn’t a stupid question. I love this boat, it would be perfect for my family. Only one problem. 99% of our boating is on a river with 8knt speed limit. Is there any reason one of these couldn’t have just a 60hp or 100hp engine? I know it’s an unusual use case. I like the looks, ability to carry toys and the warm dry cabin and high safe sides with kids and a dog.

@Kemperswatersport Год назад
Hi John, that is not a stupid question at all, in fact, it is a very interesting one. The one important reason for perhaps not installing a relatively small outboard engine, is resale value. Most people do use and appreciate the planing characteristics of the boat, even though they don't use it often. In fact, I live on a lake close to Amsterdam, where +90% of the time I also drive slowly, even though I have twin V10 350's behind my Axopar 37. I seem to remember that my German/Swiss colleaugue Boote Polch installed a 100 hp on a 28, where is just managed to plane. If planing is not at all what you're looking for, I would consider even installing less, 40-60 hp. If ever you then decide to sell the boat, selling the outboard separately so that a new owner could still install a +200 hp engine, is still feasible. I suggest you discuss this with your local dealer. If there is no dealer in your area, we could perhaps help you. Warm regards from The Netherlands, Bart Kempers

Thank you for a great video. A question that comes to mind is why would you spend money on a bow thruster if you invest in a an Optimus 360 system?
@Kemperswatersport
@Kemperswatersport Год назад
You're most welcome Henrik. There are situations where a bowthruster is very useful, like when you're mooring in a full lock for example. Also, moving the bow sideways requires a lot of force from the outboards because of the momentum. Therefore, a bowthruster uses less force which people experience as a smoother movement.

Thanx a lot for your exzellent video. On your former Axopar 28 you installed a searchlight from Golight. And I saw the Remote Control on this boat. Can you give me some Information where I can buy these lights. I only recognized dealers in the U.S. and when ordering freight costs are more than 100 €.

You're most welcome Werner, thank you for your compliment. I sourced the Golight front a Dutch company called ASA Marine but also there it takes a long time. Please let me know if I can help.

Thank you for a really good review and presentation on the 28C, I very much appreciate it. If I'm about to buy a Axopar I would like to do it if from you. Best regards, Niklas

Hello Niklas, we highly appreciate your compliment, thank you! We sell Axopar boats mainly to people who use their boat in The Netherlands or Belgium. In most countries, there are really good and experienced dealers, most of which we know personally. Only if you live somewhere where there is no dealer, we might be able to assist you, please let us know if that is the case. Otherwise, we wise you lots of luck & pleasure in the buying process and we hope that you'll be on the water soon with your own Axopar! Warm regards, Bart Kempers

Video is skipping I don’t know why. My end is good most of the time. I’m here to visualize owning a Acopar ,maybe it will happen. You and your crew seem vary pleasant.

Hello Don, yes, we've also noticed that. This is because it's a livestream where the connection via mobile has not always been good. I'm sure this will get better in the future bit if you'd like to know more, please watch our other videos, there are plenty, there also is an Axopar playlist.

Great videos Bart! Thanks for being so complete in your reviews, as well as noting your personal changes/upgrades for new owners to gain an idea of what they may wish for themselves. I am looking to own a 2021 or later 28 AC (single 300 o/b, stainless rails, elec. head, grey upholstery, man. roof, tow bar, glass helm dash..) myself in the near future, so thanks again for the content! I’ll definitely be following your lead on custom harbour covers as you had installed previously, as well as Yeti cooler for additional storage/seating. Cheers from Vancouver, BC, Canada, JC

Thank you JC, it is great to get these positive remarks, especially from the Vancouver area! I'd suggest looking for a 2018 or later 28 AC, as these are the "MK II" boats, and they are great. Also, I still love the L6 Mercury Verados, which you will find on 2018 and 2019 boats mainly. Please let me know if there's anything I could help with or if would have something which you would like to see or change in our next videos. Warm regards from The Netherlands! Bart Kempers

Hello Ryan, yes I do. This is custom made by one of our former employees who is retired now. We only supply these with boats sold by us, so I unfortunately cannot help you I'm afraid. But I know there are companies in the US who do something similar.

You do an excellent job presenting the Axopar product line. I intend to place an order for the 22 MY here in the US. I just have a few questions: 1) Will the JPO upgrade be available for US customers.... currently the configurators in the US do not offer that upgrade for the 28 model. 2) My wife and I plan to spend some overnights on this boat and prefer an Air Conditioner option, expecially in a humid/warm location. There is no AC option available via the configurator for the 28 model. There is a DC powered after market option, but I am hoping that I can order the 110v option (found on the 37XC) for the 27model combined with a paired DC converter and LiPo/ or similar battery bank.
@Kemperswatersport
@Kemperswatersport 3 года назад
Hello Christopher, thank you for your compliment, I'm glad you like our videos. About your questions: you're right: the joystick option is not available from Axopar on the 28 models (yet?). We as a dealer install them regularly, and I'm sure there are dealers in the US who can do the same. You can also check with Mercury dealers: it is originally a Seastar Optimus system, but sold by/for Mercury. And about the AC: that is not an option via Axopar either. We don't have much experience there, and I doubt whether it will be an option for the 28 from Axopar in the future. I suggest you check with your dealer, or do some searching via the Axopar Ownners Group Facebook page, there is a lot of info there.

Cristopher, I think you will find several Axopar 28 air conditioning installs on the Mabru youtube channel. One of the more recent videos will give you a good idea on the current state of tech used for independent (non-dock) powered A/C. Along with cost the other downside is that room must be found for the components.

Can you advise what fender size you went with so that four will fit the storage compartment?
@Kemperswatersport
@Kemperswatersport 2 года назад
Hello Mike, I am not sure I would advise you to do the same, as I am not an average Axopar 28 user, and use it in a relatively safe and easy area. The ones I use are relatively small, short at least, and for safe mooring I would recommend bigger ones. I am enjoying a skiing holiday but when I'm back and use my boat in the next few weeks, I will check which fenders are on my boat exactly.
@FloatYachtServices
@FloatYachtServices 2 года назад
The four fenders that come with a new delivery, are quite small, but serve the purpose well enough if placed properly alongside for most low-wake harbours. All 4 fit into a single aft storage locker, with the other locker a decent size for mooring lines and shore-power cord.

Very good video! Thanks to you and your team for the effort! And best of all you got the opportunity to talk about the cox diesel outbord. Hoping axopar will realize these konfiguration in the near future. The 28 with the cox will be a perfect match for commercial use! A big advantage in relation to the petrol outbord is the maintanance intervals of 250 running hours. And as you said in the video, diesel is available everywhere all the year. Thanks again Mr. Kempers and have fun in Cannes! Greets from Germany / baltic sea / Lübeck bay...
@Kemperswatersport
@Kemperswatersport 3 года назад
Ah, thank you again! And yes, you're right, diesel outboards can be interesting. Not for the average boat, but for commercial purposes with many running hours, it certainly can be worthwhile. I would suggest to give Polch a call, I'm sure they will help you, things are however at the moment extremely hectic so it may take some time for them to respond.
@frankmertens5431
@frankmertens5431 3 года назад
@@Kemperswatersport Well, in the meantime, I think, to get a perfect boat for my purposes will be a minor matter. Because the major challange is to get a mooring for commercial use in the Lübeck bay area / baltic sea in Germany for the Axopar. I'm looking for since 3 years now. This is really the hardest part of my boating project. I don't had expect that before... It is so frustrating. You have big innovative plans and the one thing you can do is to sit and wait. Sometimes I have the feeling the responsible authorities don't want to help me because everything is so conservative here and open-minded people are hard to find...
@Kemperswatersport
@Kemperswatersport 3 года назад
@@frankmertens5431 I understand the challenges. Did you think about keeing the boat on a good trailer and storing it on land, maybe even in a shed? I would recommend a Vanclaes trailer, they are very reliable, and with the gyro system and innovative light system, very quick and easy to use.
