Glad Ken is getting some recognition now. He was a great fighter and an exciting champ. I got to meet him when he was champ and I was an amateur fighter. He was a class act. I'll always admire him.

I always thought that the ref should've deducted a point from Duran for the low blow and give Ken 10min to recover. He was doing pretty well against a young and savage Duran !
Ken Buchanan was a very good boxer with a really great jab . I wish he would the credit that he so richly deserves . Roberto Duranis one of the greatest boxers of all time but he should've given Buchanan a rematch . Duran's manager , Carlos Eleta has admitted that he , not Duran , refused a rematch because Buchanan was very formidable foe .
Buchanan vs Ismael Laguna , Buchanan vs Carlos Ortiz are just boxing classics, in latin america Ken is known as a great boxer, one of the best lightweight ever.

He could also have gone to America and tried to establish himself over there.

Ken was good but used the low blow to get outa the Duran fight.Just as well he did NOT get a return as all three referees had him 5 behind at the end of the 13th. Welshman Joe Calzage is the best British fighter of all time
