That’s a great outfit, i wish Mattel realesed re-editions of old fashion packs just like they do with some past dolls

The designs of that era were so chic and realistic. The materials they used were not my favorite, but in terms of design they were amazing. I’ve always thought this particular Ken is one of the most attractive male dolls mattel ever produced. He is dreamy! I adore his hair and neutral expression.

Oh dear, Ken has had one too many and fallen off his stand. LOL Thanks for choosing the first black Ken doll for that fashion. That doll makes everything it wears look good, very handsome doll. It's so strange for me as a collector these days. Because when I first started collecting 19 years ago, it was all about mint on card, or mint in box. Now everyone is opening everything, which I can understand because the fashions look good on the dolls. And the dolls you can really see all around on a stand on a shelf, rather than just in a box. But it still feels so weird because of how it was years ago when pristine was the thing. I personally do both, if something comes to me in a box and it's "vintage" I generally don't debox it. But often I will have already found a loose example for my shelf. But some things like the Barbie and the Sensations line, it's incredibly hard to find them in good condition loose. So I bought them boxed and then deboxed them for a certain display idea I had. Talk about feeling strange doing something, that felt VERY strange. But fun too, because inside that box was a little bit of 1987. That was a good year for dolls, and movies and music. Thanks for showing the package artwork. I love the Superstar artwork, it's so colorful and cheerful. Thanks for these videos, they're a blast from the past. 💖

That’s so 70’s, I’ve never seen that Ken doll with rooted hair, his cool. The funny I thought, his coat reminds of a flasher lol.

Oh YAYY! You FINALLY got around to showing this! :D This is definitely a 'fashion favorite' of mine when it comes to Ken's Superstar era fashions! Nothing beats a good classic trench coat (though I also wish they made it in that leather-y fabric that they used in the one shown in the booklets! Or even that flocked 'suede' fabric would have been cool, though perhaps a little stiff.) ... and I noticed on a recent browsing spree among the shops in the city that Gucci is using their iconic green and red stripe again on lots of things! (Granted, this is not a direct rip-off of that stripe - and understandably so!- but it was obviously inspired by it, as that stripe on accessories was such a status symbol back then. I need to have Sunsational Malibu Ken in that outfit if I ever start up 'Coffy' again! :P ) I LOVED the bit at the end where he falls off his chair! LOL :P

That ending… 😆 I love the doll, the fashion not my fave to be honest, they used the wrong textiles and it really shows… I bet if you recreate it with stiffer fabrics it would look awesome!

i do have this fashion, but i’m missing the scarf. The scarf that i have is made from the same printed fabric, but it’s really thin. i think the seller made the scarf😆
