I know I'm in the Switch channel and that supporting this port is a good thing but I can't help but mention that this game is about $3.00 over on the PS4 eShop right now. Inflation gots me lookin for those deals.
Thanks for this brilliant review! I was one of the animators on this game. Back when it first came out, it unfortunately was dismissed by most adventure gamers because it isn't your typical point and click adventure game. Not many people played it because of this, but we in the dev team really worked hard on making a beautiful game that is true to the books. So it is great to see it get a revival on the Switch! Thanks for spreading the word. We really appreciate it.
I picked this up based on the Switch Up recommendation and have enjoyed it so much that I started reading the first book and intend to play the game alongside with reading. Menus are a bit clunky and buggy on Switch, but I’m still enjoying the game quite a lot. It’s an interesting sort of hybrid game: kind of a point-and-click visual novel.
Daedelic is awesome, they're behind the point and click adventures Deponia and Edna and Harvey. If you like good (sometimes hard) PnC with good (sometimes dark) humour, check them out. Recently got all 4 deponia games for 10 or 15 bucks on the Nintendo store (Edna and Harvey, I played on PC 10 years ago, also highly recommended)
You guys always pick the right games for a review! This is not the type of game I normally play but it looks soooo good. A 20/20 Soundtrack is also a big plus for playing this with headphone. I will need to try this.
Bought this game on your recommendation and I absolutely love it. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys adventure games with choices. Reminds me a lot of the telltale walking dead games crossed with game of thrones. The art style is beautiful and the voice acting is top notch. More people should know about this game and all credit to the devs for such amazing work.

Hob’s Barrow has me hooked on point and click adventure games, a genre which I had never explored. I will definitely add this game to the wish list. I have been in love with the Medieval time period since a child.
I have to say, although underpowered by today's standards of home consoles, the switch has amazing art design and still can manage visually stunning games. Cue all the angry people in the comments 😜

loved the tv series, love this type of game, will buy it Parallax scrolling is not new, it was used sinced the 1980s (at least on Amiga) but it never loses it's realistic feeling
Wow, I loved all of Ken Follett's novels. Pillars of the Earth and World Without End are the best. Can't believe someone decided to turn them into a game, and the game actually looks pretty good.
This looks indeed like a gorgeous game! Unfortunately I'd never heard of the book series until today, so no idea if it would be for me. I don't think so: it's not a period of history I'm especially interested in, and not quite what I look for in terms of escapism. But it does look beautiful, like a high-budget animated film. Great to see this kind of games also on the Switch!
I had no idea that this game existed and now I’m intrigued! I grew up on Broken Sword and Longest Journey, and adventure games like this always grab me! Thanks for showing this one, I’d have never known about it otherwise!
I never heard of this series before. I'm a big fan of a lot of Telltale games. This looks really engaging. The art style looks like you're playing an animated movie. Definitely will check this out when I get the chance

I've been looking forward to this and was, quite honestly, expecting to be disappointed. Given your review though, this looks like it won't be the case. Which definitely does NOT leave me disappointed!
I've been using the Nyxi Hyperion joycons for a few months now. They're the only joycons I've ever used that I don't hate. They feel perfect in the hand. The buttons are all nice, especially the triggers. My ONLY con with them is that they reset your rgb settings when the console goes to sleep. I personally turn the rbg off because its distracting, but I have to turn them off every time I get the Switch out. Overall 9/10. Definitely get them if you're in the market for new joycons.

I love the Starz miniseries starring Eddie Redmayne (Fantastic Beasts, My Week with Marilyn), Hayley Atwell (The MCU, Howards End), Matthew MacFadyen (Pride & Prejudice, Succession, Howards End) & Ian McShane (Deadwood, Pirates of The Caribbean 4) and than I read the book & totally loved it too. I never thought that someone would actually turn Pillars of The Earth into a game. Definitely gonna check it out.
Wow. Interesting game. So thought I'd look it up. Couldn't find the Switch version (physical). So looked for the PS4 version and saw it was only 3 euros right now in the PS Store. That's a steal !
The soundscape is fantastic. I really love some Daedalic experiences so I am going to get this in future. Glad it was reviewed as I was looking into this and waiting for some input.
Watching this review makes me wish I actually enjoyed playing point and click adventure games. I've tried a couple and typically bounce off them. But this one does look really cool!

I have a switch lite, not a full switch. I was just wondering if you guys have any ideas for games for me. And do you think i could play this particular game heldheld only?

I have to get this game for the simple fact that pillars of the earth is one of my favorite books of all time. And it’s centered around the trilogy?! Amazing! Jack and Aliena were my favorites in the series. Such great characters. And I hated the Hamleighs more than any of the other antagonists in the series and there were lots of terrible ones lmao. Thanks for adding to my backlog guys!

I read the book Pillars of the Earth a few years ago. Loved the story. Definatly will be a tragic game at the begining albit like Last of Us. Would be interesting to see how they portray Regan Hamliegh, Ken wasnt so polite with her discription in the book :D
Haven't heard anything about this one, but it looks interesting. The visuals are certainly impressive, and the video definitely makes it sound like one to watch for. I would just have to convince my wallet/backlog...
I was a bit confused about the "3 books" aspect. From what I can tell, this doesn't appear to be World Without End and A Column of Fire--just a repackaging of Pillars into three sections. Still, I am shaking with excitement to play this. My Switch has been dead since I finished Pokemon Scarlet, so I unfortunately won't be able to play till tomorrow.
This looks absolutely amazing! I would love to play this however I’m completely sucked in by octopath traveller 2, will definitely revisit in the future
This is a fantastic game. Unfortunately I won't be buying for the switch as it was given away as a freebie from Epic Store on the PC a few years ago. I wasn't really sure what to expect but it blew me away.
I never read the books but now I'm really interested in checking them out. I'll have to put this on my wishlist and maybe they'll get a sale by the time I've read them.
They’re really amazing books! Ken Follet is a master at historical fiction and he has a ton of experience with the genre. I read his Century series first then Kingsbridge series and they’re all great books. Highly recommend
