Ken Loach's new film on The One Show 

Journalist Sharuna Sagar presents this film about The Old Oak directed by acclaimed film maker Ken Loach. The production features a cast of non professional actors and tells the story of two traumatised communities learning to live with each other in a former pit village in the North East of England. Sharuna meets the local people and Syrian refugees who were in the film and have forged life long friendships as a result. This film was broadcast on 25/09/23
